Thank you for compiling these nostalgia-soaked, timeless soundtracks that take me back to simpler times - quite specifically the year 2016. I'd bought a New Nintendo 3DS XL from the US and picked up Alpha Sapphire (since I'd played Ruby as a kid). Loved the QOL improvements, and being able to glide on Latios/Latias was lovely. 11/10 - through rose-tinted glasses.

Ever since I found this soundtrack, I have been reliving the days I spent my time playing Pokémon Sapphire as kid in middle school but I am also spending quality time with my baby boy playing with him. I' am glad that he enjoys this as well he looks at me with a big smile every time Little Root starts !

A lot of people diss this game but wow. For me it has this sense of homeliness and nostalgia, probably because i put 300 hours into it as a kid. Gen 5 will always be my favourite, and these arent my favourite pokemon games by any means - probably the bottom of A tier in a tierlist. But it is home.

Okay, but can we talk about the image? Isn’t that awesome?! This makes me want more to-scale artwork because looking at this really emphasizes how overwhelming and intimidating seeing the legendaries must me. Even on the calm, blue backdrop, Rayquaza staring down like that is intimidating. It’s huge! Like in Castle in the Sky, the castle emerges from the clouds, and even at a distance, it seems to absolutely dwarf the characters. But in this case, it’s a living creature, looking right at the player.

They 95% nailed those remakes (probably my favourite Pokémon games besides PMD2). We only needed a real Battle Frontier to make them perfect. The musics in particular were excellent, unlike the ones from the D/P remakes.

I have so much nostalgia for GBA Ruby and Sapphire that when the remakes came out it felt so fresh but still the same since I was still a kid. Now many years later they're both a part of my nostalgia rather than just GBA. What happened to Game Freak being able to make good games and remakes for older consoles, now they have to compete with the modern market instead of doing what they're good at, 2D-esque games.

I had wonderful memories playing pokemon with my big brother , and with other games , I've never experienced this kind of emotions growing up , even i'm still playing with my big bro , However , there is an exception , I recently played Outer Wilds with him , this games gave both of us back the taste of curiosity and admiration we had as a child.
