Hahahaha what? You think 3D models are "exclusive" to a system or something? You have no idea how they work? Even if they thought "oh, we have way more possibilities now that we have a more powerful system" they shouldn't have to remake everything "from scratch". Stop being so gullible to the point you'd comfortably accept an inferior product from companies willing to give lame ass excuses, that's how the situation got to this point.
@patrikjakobsen21425 жыл бұрын
You just a entiltle brat. The former games are made for a resolution that are worse then a yr 2000 box tv. So yeah the have to make them from scratch. You can't just up scale a model from shitty graphics to HD and think all is fine. You don't know shit about programing if you think that possiable. Its easier to make them from scratch in that case and then you also sure it works. X/Y is 6 years ago moron. Game freaks had no way of knowing that 3 years after the switch would release. They also future proved the models they are used in sun and moon so no lies from their site. Its pretty obvious that they never planned to make a game for the home consoles before the switch came out.
@dszk19905 жыл бұрын
That barely has to do with programming, "you don't know shit" about modeling according to what you're saying. All these models have been reused already not just on 3DS, but on Pokémon Go and on Let's Go, there's very accessible and extensive work and analysis around how these models are made to be easily worked with already, so i won't waste our time on that subject. You're just using the same buzzwords used by all the excusers that don't understand how it works so "let's have faith in Gamefreak". The Switch being such a "more powerful system" is also another thing that makes accepting a lesser product even more laughable anyway. Stop using this excuse, it makes Gamefreak look worse.
@patrikjakobsen21425 жыл бұрын
True it does not have much to do with programing. But I know models made in bad resolution can not just be up scaled, it require some work. You can down scale it without trouble if its made in high resolution. The switch is more powerfull and if you have seen the new videos their is small framerate drop in the city atleast, so the switch is getting pushed. You don't know about the game features and other stuff make the more immersive neither do I. But framerate drops tells that they really can't push it more without it having effect on performance. Buy the game or don't but since they go with a entire new concept that is a upgrade from the old i don't think people have something complain about. Its a new chapter in the pokemon series you can take it or leave it.

Just gonna drop this here, while it might not be worth buying for Pokemon alone, the 3DS has got some great games that I think are worth checking out. One of my personal favorites is Kid Icarus: Uprising. Also when people were yelling that the 3DS was dying, jesus Christ that was overblown. Not everyone was gonna buy a Switch when it came out, there were still more 3DS owners than Switch owners when people were yelling that shit at the top of their lungs, and despite their rampent claims guess what Nintendo kept pumping out content for the thing, it was certainly close, and was gonna die eventually, but it wasn't dying yet. By around mid 2018 I would say is when it really started slowing the hell down. (God the whole "USUM should be on the Switch" argument gets on my nerves. Face it, you let fake leaks get to your head and now you're just angry, but you can't blame the company for not meeting standards they never set, and while there is an argument to be made that they shouldn't be thing themselves down to such a strict release schedule, next to no one was arguing that, instead just saying that it should be on the thing or how cool it would be if it was. At least now people are making more sensible arguments against these games.)

Gorade Let’s also be 100% honest for 5 seconds… KI:U deserves to get a sequel on the switch. They’ve already ported Hyrule Warriors from 3DS to WiiU to Switch, and the rest of the 3DS/WiiU games that didn’t blow (Star Fox) either have direct ports or sequels (and if you’re a certain Umbran Witch you got 2 ports and a sequel incoming whenever Platinum gets around to finishing 3)! A 3DS is seriously only good for story between entries (FE, KH…) some old systems (mega evolution, the GOOD Pac-Man stage in Smash…) and KI:U since it was abandoned by daddy Sakurai who only used the IP as a way to add another Smash character but ended up making a FANTASTIC game that deserved better hardware and controllers

What I care more about is hardware, fucking IMAGINE how good even a remaster or an HD version of KI:U would look on the TV screen, or even in portable. Some of these bosses can be even further realized than before by not being limited to the 3DS' shitty 3D models. I think at the very least, if Pit and Palutena made it in smash, KI:U deserves at least a Switch port, even if he won't make a completely new game. My only problem with it being on the Switch is I only have joycons for controllers and Joycon drift would ruin my fucking day on a game like KI:U. I'm just going to correct something "the deeeev" said, as a game animator myself. Animations are transferable AS LONG AS the number and nomenclature of bones match. Why ? Because when you import animations from a workspace to another, you don't import geometry, you import baked BONE POSITIONING data. It's the bare minimum. The rig/skin is a separate import. OBVIOUSLY, if the latter is not fixed and tweaked, the result will be hellish and some unassigned vertices won't respond and stay in place, or there might be some errors because of the weight distributions being vastly different for each receiving bone, but it's not their positioning (aka animation) that is at fault. You just gotta redo the skin correctly for your receiving model/bones. Any correctly weighted model WORKS. That's why SSB swaps work and look goofy. The model and the bones are skinned correctly, but the bones are in a different position in space. That'd how you get buff Pikachus. Look, if it weren't possible, animators wouldn't have neat tools like StudioLib to transfer anims from one model to the other, or fun tools like that stock animation site where you can even put a random Pokemon and they'll magically walk realistically or dance (works best on 2-legged ones), or HECK, the chinese proved you can transfer anims around. Honestly if Dexit was the only thing I had against modern Pokemon, I would still be hyped for these games, but the franchise has appealed to me less and less each entry. The 'dungeons' in Sun/Moon, for example, are barely ever larger than two empty rooms. The meat of Aether Laboratory... an endgame dungeon, is two large rooms, three small rooms, and a hallway. Trials felt like an excuse not to do more extensive puzzles or gimmicks from the Pokemon gyms, while also not being nearly as interesting. Legendaries are as easy to find in the post-game as candy is to find on Halloween night. ORAS decided to dot every legendary before it on a single map, and outright handing the player two of the regional legends. Postgame is non-existent as well, they could have done something lazy like include like a ten trainer gauntlet of six level 90 Pokemon each where items are restricted just to give players an excuse to spend hours and hours grinding and that would still be more satisfying than what we had in Sun/Moon or X/Y. I still had these complaints before dexit, among the other things pointed out in this video. Pokemon hasn't exactly innovated the monster-collecting genre in 20 years, but it still massively outsells the competitors simply because it's more popular, even though the experiences now have trimmed off so much fat over the years.

What I hate the most are games like emerald, platinum, black and white 2 and usum. They aren't bad games, Actually their better than the original version in every way and that's the problem, people will buy the original and the remade version which is basically the same thing just better. They keep eating this shit up and Pokemon keeps putting them out. It would be so much better if they waited one more year and release the original version as the one with the remade. Imagine sun and moon was actually usum, it would be so much better and they have even more time to add more things into the game. And now only once Pokemon had to be sacrificed for people to realise how money hungry gf is. And honestly people saying just don't buy the game, it doesn't work. I only buy the original game version and skip the remade ones, and I skipped both usum and let's go.

@@kevmeteor7554 While I think B2W2 has enough new content and changes to justify a new release, I do agree that the 'definitive edition' scheme is pretty annoying. And even then, Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum at least came out on a time or on hardware where DLC wasn't really a thing. USUM, however, shows Game Freak isn't willing to adapt along with the modern era, being released on a console that has seen DLC both for adding additional content and for entirely separate campaigns. Why should extra content, worth an extra $15 at most, cost another $40? And that's assuming the Pokemon Company litterally won't allow GameFreak less than yearly releases to finish their games properly. I wouldn't scorn the 'don't buy it' slogan just yet though before dexit we were simply the minority. After Dexit... we still are, but at least larger and vocal. The goal isn't to have SwSh fail... no one in their right minds believes that will actually happen. But slightly underperforming is more of a victory than you might think.

I think fanboys reject critique in such a hair pulling manner because of deep insecurities from the way they internalize the health of a series. A great example ironically comes from Kitchen Nightmares. There are times where the restaurant owners get superbly defensive when Ramsay is critiquing food they didn't cook from a chef they don't like, even validating their own thoughts. Yet they still lose their minds and say the most incoherent things because they identify with the restaurant as a whole and are scared of putting down the defense mechanisms that kept them going. They have to let themselves be vulnerable to evaluate the problems and it's terrifying. It's a very human problem, and human problems require human solutions. "GET IT TOGETHER YOU FOCKING DONKEY"

I'm glad to see this take tbh. As bad of an excuse they gave for it, a pokedex cut was always *bound,* to happen, but it still doesn't excuse the lying, laziness, and inefficient skills from the developers that's haunted the series for a while now. I'm not even mad, mind you, but sad. I can't blame gamefreak, knowing how crippled by the Pokemon companies treatment they are. but, as my favorite franchise, I still feel that if GF can't optimize and prioritize the franchise they have been given, it would be better for everyone if Pokemon would be given to a studio that can treat it better...

@@Nachachus its even worse that we know they've been prioritizing town over Pokemon lately. From a producer stand point, I could understand this, and even respect that they have to focus on town. But as a consumer, my priority is Pokemon. No matter the excuse, this diversification is what's hurting Pokemon, and its sort of making me hope town flops just to either get them to focus, or loose Pokemon entirely. Even that would kind of suck, because I can tell the lead developers REALLY care about the franchise, but in the end, they're just showing more and more how inadequate they've been at getting this under control...

@@Nachachus yes, but they've also stated they've put the more experienced on town. Mind you, even if they were giving priority to Pokemon, splitting up the already smallish development team gamefreak has is already pretty shady. They *could* hire more, or even outsource the work, but they *choose* not to. Again, they have budget restrictions set by Pokemon, but there's still many actions they could be taking there actively not doing. Add that on top of there already apparent lack of development skill in general (the example of the multiple lillie's, messing up the use of the future proof Pokemon models, etc.) This entire situation was a long time coming. Sword and shields only hope at this point is that they *really* went all out for this games story, but that's pretty doubtful...

I'm honestly inclined to believe that, if Pokemon kept going and going, a Pokedex cut was absolutely not bound to happen if they put in the effort, especially if they could fit over 800 Pokemon in a small 3DS game. A lot of people seem to forget that Pokemon continues to advance with time, just as how technology advances. Technology evolves fast too, incredibly fast to the point where the reason why some people say they don't want to get into PC gaming is because they don't want to drop hundreds of dollars to upgrade their PC every year (as ridiculous of a statement that is, it is true that technology is advancing that rapidly every year).

Pokemon has just been on this ride of "making everything easier". Pokemon was already a pretty easy rpg, however it still had it's moments and difficult battles/difficult pokemon to catch. Every since ORAS Pokemon has just felt like a quest simulator on easy. The game decides where you go and when you go, there's little to no exploration anymore. No areas that give a sense of mystery like gen 1-5. Mythical Pokemon have become a joke and instead of building on the battle system they just introduce a new flashy way to attack to make it seem new. Ever since I was finally able to buy other games aside from Pokemon I've been playing many different RPGs and games in general. I can't justify the mediocrity of the series anymore.
@nemesisalex94245 жыл бұрын
The post game is the most obvious example. Gen 1 had cerulean cave with the reward of the strongest pokemon in the game. Gen 2 had a whole damn region to revisit, Mt Silver with the strongest trainer in the game at the top. Gen 3 had rayquaza, the battle frontier new ways to play the game. Gen 4 had more battle frontier, giratina's cave, an island resort and more developed mythical encounters. Gen 5 had half the region, the tower/tree, the shiny axorus, side quests, older characters back for a revenge, and the PWT. Gen 6 had the battle maison, a small town with a friend safari, a random side quest with little to no pay off, and mewtwo hidding in a hole. Gen 7 had a new route and a big tree and later added a shiny catching mini game. They didn't even keep red or chintya at their real strenght. And many returning characters had pratically no impact on the story besides the rainbow rocket arc which could pass as a glorified boss rush.

It's pretty painful going from Pokemon Masters to rewatching S/M pre-release footage. While the core gameplay itself is still terrible exploitative mobile game fare, pretty much every single other aspect of Masters is significantly better than anything Game Freak has released on a long time. The trainers are expressive, every character has a distinct personality, they frequently emphasize the interactions between trainers and their pokemon, the pokemon attacks look good (pokemon actually run up to and make contact with opponents when using physical attacks), trainers always are visibly standing behind their pokemon even in 3v3 battles, the music is fantastic, and there's voice acting - something game freak has never even attempted doing. When I played Masters, I felt like the interactions I had with other trainers in conversation (during the main story, in the little side stories, and when randomly running into them in the pokemon center) were more significant and felt more personal than anything that happens during normal gameplay in a standard pokemon game. Like they went out of their way to make trainers feel more than just an obstacle between you and your next badge. It feels to me like there's more care and dedication to the franchise displayed in an unfinished cash-grab mobile game than in the actual console game. And that's sad.

there are two concerns I have with GF here, the first, is that they have stated to have had over a 1000 people working on these games, from what I have seen so far, even with the gameplay not finalized, there is still a lot of improvements that need to be made. Now the second, GF has had little practice on home console, making one set of games, doesn't constitute as practice, it takes years for a team that isn't experienced to build on that experience especially for one game development team who don't have experience on home console. Take Square Enix for example, many years of experience on home console and the quality of their games has gotten better? over the years, don't think most of their stories have, but that is another subject for another time. take for example Final Fantasy 9 and compare the difference to final fantasy 10, 10 is further ahead in quality, that is because Square Soft worked with the console for a lot longer and practiced for the console, rather than rush for a product as quickly as they could. GF on the other hand has rushed onto the Switch, and we are seeing that they aren't ready to release a game on home console. Game Freak, should have started their move towards home console years ago, now we are seeing their inability to adapt to a more powerful system, I can only hope that as time goes on GF adapts, even if it takes a number of years for them to do, it should all start with DP remakes. But GF aren't entirely at fault here, there are two other contributors to the issue, the first is the Anime, the anime team are the ones that enforce an unrealistic deadline on the Gamefreak, to release a new generation every three years to coincide with a new series and the second is the merchandise teams, basically for the exact same reason as the anime teams. This unfortunately hurts the quality of the games, even if a team of a 1000 people are present, it is a brewing perfect storm on the way. So basically, the Anime teams need to stop pressing for new generations every 3 years. GF need to have more practice on home console and the merchandising teams, also need to stop pushing GF into rushing out new generations. as one game developer once said "a rushed game is always bad, a delayed game is eventually good", but the issue is, because of the other two factors, GF cannot afford a delay, so they are pushed into a corner, but that is a corner also of their own design.
@khangaroo81665 жыл бұрын
1000 people does not mean they are working on the actual game itself, it could be the translations, the art, anything really. Only about 200 are actually working on the game itself, this was a little misleading but I really don't blame you for not knowing that. If there were 1000 people we wouldn't be getting only this right now. Either way they are working hard, there is a lot of care even if it doesn't seem like there is, I'll only truly decide of this game had work put into it when I finish the game.

Oh god I remember that "professional animator" guy. I swear he's so full of shit, there's literally tonnes of videos on YT of people swapping the models. The real issue when porting animations from model to model isn't even the mesh itself, it's the rig (the "skeleton" that groups polygons and allows for animating them). If you have a similar rig then the animation will transfer fine and even if it isn't perfect you can make slight adjustments to a pre-made animation. It's cheaper than making a completely new one. I don't know much about the way the animations are stored but I'd imagine that you could re-map bones/bone groups from one rig to the other too.

And even if you have to reweigh the entire model, modern model editors can copy paste the vert weights from one model to a completely different model with a very high degree of success.

Me and my siblings wouldn't really think about Pokemon's lack in consistent quality until somewhere in gen 7, when the Pokemon animations play the same as back in Gen 6, the Kanto pandering becomes very obvious, the post game being rather lacking, animations are still stiff or the game lags at times when something simple is happening, etc. With all of those problems appearing in swsh (uncertain of post game as of now), we kinda lost interest in those games and will just focus on other games with more genuine care to them. Especially when playing games like Xenoblade, Undertale, Persona, Bravely Default, Digimon, Yo Kai Watch, etc... Pokemon has just seem so inferior to those other RPGs that has a unique turn in RPGs formula or building upon the contents of the game. Pokemon that cool ideas, but they're gone in the next game for other ideas that would meet the same fate, battle systems that are pretty much the same, ignoring the fans constantly, and are doing the same thing as last time just to be safe. 17:52 Yes, thank you for mentioning that. It doesn't get said enough. With that said, I think there is fault in us, the consumer. The last title that had passion and a lot of thought and time put in to it (a love letter to the fans, as you put it) were the black and white games. These games were not well received. They're among the least selling main game tittles in current times and the argument could be made for all of Pokémon's existing history. One of the most recurring criticisms from detractors of the Black and White titles is that they were bothered by the fact that you can't get pokémon from older titles until post game (which wasn't true for the sequels but the sequels barely sold half of what the first games sold). People don't like change but that's just half of the problem. To this day, the release of Red and Blue titles have been the most successful/best-selling games of the franchise. Once Pokémon Go was released it became pretty evident for the company that nostalgia sells better than effort. And as a corporation, they'll do what corporations do and follow the money. The consumers have spoken and as harsh as it sounds, we have shown we don't care for quality or effort. Sure, on a personal level, long time fans crave quality and effort from the company but I think at this point, passerby fans out weigh the demands of long term fans. Personally, I think our voice is being drowned out by a majority that will take the bare minimum and be satisfied with it.

@@goldensunadept5091 If you see the selling numbers of each individual main game release, though for a regular game they sold well (all pokemon games sell well), black and white have lower selling numbers. 15.64 million for the first 7.63 million for the sequel. Where as X&Y sold 16.45 m, sun & moon 16.18 m and as you said Sword & Shield sold 17.37 m. (Every main game release preformed better than gen 5: gen 1 sold 31.7 m, gen 2 sold 23.1 m, gen 3 sold 16.22 m and gen 4 sold 17.67 m) Now, we could also have the discussion about how people are turning around and realizing that gen 5 is better than remembered. They're cutting a lot of features using the excuse it's for improvements that we just don't see, which is what a lot of the "stop hating!" people seem to ignore as the point. It's not simply that people are pissy about some missing features, it's that there's no trade-off. And that realization is what causes the snowball effect of people starting to criticize graphics (the infamous tree) and other things that they may not have minded before. People know when they're getting screwed, and they're not obligated to like it just because Pokemon is near and dear to them. In less serious feedback, nice digs at Verlisify, LOL. I said I'd reserve judgment on the final product until I see if they patch in obvious things like the Nat Dex and maybe Megas, but it's becoming increasingly concerning that this likely will not happen. You said it, others have said it, and it seems extremely clear at this point: Pokemon GO killed the franchise. In much the same way we see mobile gaming as a whole killing games, or at least severely reducing the quality that we receive (because why make an expensive product when you can put 10% of the effort into a mobile cash grab and make 1,000% of the profits?). Look, I've played Pokemon since its inception. I remember fondly sitting in my orange chair in front of a lamp to play Blue version after school in the evening at 6 and 7 years old. I still have Pokemon cards in a binder from around the same time period that is likely worth hundreds of dollars but I won't part with it. I played every generation, loving them all but even more recently loving and putting 400+ hours into Moon. S&M was an amazing product, in my opinion. Lots hated on its story focused, hand holdy nature, but I loved it. Gen 7 might be one of my favorites ever. I didn't play ORAS, nor USUM, but they looked fine. Yet, how is it that SWSH is looking so disappointing despite having more potential than any product before it? It's simple. There's zero reason to. The lies were just to sate the people, and it seems like from the news articles we got, that it worked. People aren't really still talking about this and we are a month away from release. The fact is, even if nobody bought SWSH (which simply won't happen), our boycott doesn't matter. The Pokemon Company will continue to make countries-worth of fortunes every month from Go and merchandise. They are set; they are secure. If anything, Gamefreak is expendable. You can tell the wind in their sails when it comes to Pokemon is all but completely gone. Town makes SWSH look like it was from two generations ago, made by a fledgling indie dev (though that's a bit uncharitable, as nowadays indie devs make the best products bar-none). It's clear that's where their passion lies right now, and why not? They gain nothing from appealing to a market that is already going to flock to the game like a hungry koi-fish pond. Town is a project that allows them to do something new and their crew probably wants that. I don't know what is happening behind the scenes, but something isn't right. Shit just doesn't add up, and I'm eager to see the games broken about to see what is inside and why this all happened. Maybe we'll get a small clue at least. It's just sad. I love Pokemon. I remember the first trailer for SWSH and I mae a joke that I can't wait to see PIMPNITE fight a dynamaxed mega Rayquaza and win with a level 1 magikarp. Only to find out shortly after that not only will there be no megas, but we will be lucky to get magikarp and rayquaza. Somehow they kill my uber hype for the game within the same day, because of poor decisions regarding it. At the end of the day, there is no forseeable excuse as to why we are getting this shoddy product. The model argument fell flat, the effort arguments fell flat...I just have to wonder, why put all the effort to future proof the games if this was the endgame? I can only think that something truly awful happened behind closed doors at their offices, and they are forced to do this. It's suspicious. Suspicious like taking out a 500k life insurance plan on your husband before he mysteriously ends up in the dumpster behind your apartment. Maybe we'll never know why all of this insanity came to pass, but until changes are made, I cannot support this game. This will be the first mainline Pokemon title that I do not buy and invest time into. Maybe a patch will change it. I sincerely doubt it.

Even when the reveal trailer for SwSh was shown off, I was like "cool..." And that was it. It didn't excite me like the other Pokemon games, but I wouldn't be disappointed with Gamefreak until E3.

@PrimeValkyrie5 жыл бұрын
@Anthy I am also a VGC player and while the competitive aspect looks fun, it all depends on how the meta evolves and if we end up getting legendaries as crazy as the Tapus to overcentralize it or not. But even then Pokemon has always had questionable balance, especially in VGC. And stuff like Gigantamax Butterfree is looking super degenerate.

Well dang. Now I'm sad. Your video really showed me that we've been given a subpar product for way too long. I was always blinded by my pure love of the series, but you're totally right. The roselia-tinted glasses are off now, i suppose.

I know a lot of people loathed X and Y and I can see why. Excluding my DS games, they're my most played games on my systems. After playing, however, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (never played Sun and Moon - the demo/trailer never sold me on the games), I am leery about the franchise. X and Y had its issues, yes, but after playing USUM, I could see the laziness. I was so irritated by the consistent mention of Kanto this, Kanto that and the new Kanto forms (I love some of them, but come on here). I screamed at one point during gameplay "be your own game! Stop relying on Kanto!" Graphic issues, crashing/glitching near the Battle Tree (I'm playing on a new 3DS XL/2DS XL and I am still struggling in parts due to lag). I haven't touched the games in months. My attitude is, if they don't care, why should I?

Regarding the multiple instances of Lillie, it's easier for the 3DS to stream duplicate files than to search for the file it was referencing, so it's not really incompetence in that case. Not that I'm saying their excuse of better animations is valid, but I wanted to clear up the misinformation.

I've never had my opinion between two game flip so radically... I was super excited for pokemon and very cautious about three houses. Then E3 happened and complete flip! 3H isn't perfect ofc but I loved it! My faith in IS is back full force and I'll be very excited once they announce a new fire emblem. I was very disappointed with Fates and slightly disappointed that was Awakening but boy did they turn me around! Pokémon on the other hand... It's just been disappointment after disappointment. XY were okay but I could give them a pass since it was new ground. ORAS felt like a slap in the face... There's barely any reason to play it over Emerald. SM were somewhat interesting. Lots of things I actually liked even if executed in a sub-par way. USUM I absolutely hated... Just everything about it's conception seems grimy. Most of the things that were interesting from SM were tweaked to somehow be worse or barely improved. Let's go is just a bit of a joke really... But SWSH... oh fuck me, they're either completely tone-deaf or they don't care anymore. Just the biggest slap in the face they could have given their fans. It feels like everything they always tried to champion before was thrown right out! Innovation? Let's just come up with another temporary gimmick. Core gameplay? Put it to the side to give more attention to side activities. Keeping your special pokemon with you safe and sound? (remember that emotional trailer they had for pokebank where they rescues lost pokemon in older games?) Nah they're not allowed anymore! Third game in a row that I can't be bothered to buy... I'll check them out if someone lends me a copy but they're just not worth my money.

For me i hate that i lose a ton of the competitive sets i made. No Mega Evolution or Z-Moves means i lose a lot of sets. Plus not all of them will be allowed to move up anyway. Pokemon Bank was a payed app to move up Pokemon so this game just had to go and hard cap the time and work and money that has been used on team building. I finally started team building a few years ago. Gen 6 was the first time i did. Knowing i now have all these sets that can't go to gen 8 hurts. Plus all that Pokemon Bank money. The limited Pokemon and lack of Mega Evolution and Z-Moves just hits me really hard because all this work i did is now more or less all pointless. I know not everyone builds competitive sets but just knowing a lot of the sets i made will not be able to go to gen 8 is really getting to me. Plus with no Mega Evolution or Z-Moves a lot of sets just don't work even if they could move. Lopunny is so much better as a Mega so that just made it way worse if it happened to be picked as a Pokemon. This is all a mess that made the hours i put into team building a message waste.

The problem with people saying “it’s not finished” when referring to the trailers is: When the games release and they are *exactly* we have been telling them this whole time, their entire argument falls flat. I want to know what their half-assed excuses are gonna be at that point. Or worse yet, they may suddenly turn heel and say they have always been on our side. Fucking pisses me off. Backpedaling trash...
@patrickstar81325 жыл бұрын
And now any new trailer we get can't be defended by that stupid excuse because I highly, highly doubt that GF will make a huge change from a trailer to the official release within only a month.
@RubinNischara5 жыл бұрын
Once the games are released the new excuse will be: "But the first games of a generation were always lackluster, wait for the special versions!" And once they will be released and are still subpar, they will say: "Special versions have never changed that much!" The excuses will never end.

honestly, the ppl who barely play the game and dont understand how it works saying "oh this is going to be better with a hand picked amount of pokemon, it wil make for a better experience" or " ah bringing your old pokemon is just a fun novelty, the core of the game should be in the new region and new pokemon to flesh out the region as a different place" make me so damn mad, dont they understand that you get the national dex after finishing the game, every game always had a handpicked amount of pokemon to tailor the experience now they are just deleting a part of the game itself for no reason

Yeah... I personally have been avoiding the community as of late. It's the same song everytime. After my disappointment with USUM I distanced myself. I haven't found Pokemon that enjoyable ever since XY. I told myself that I would give up on Pokemon if gen 8 didn't cut it for me even before sword and shield were announced. I did say I would give Pokemon another chance if they made a gen 4 or 5 remake but otherwise I was and still am hoping for the best for Sword and Shield. They then had a controversy and my hopes for gen 8 have been pretty low ever since but I guess that means that also my expectations are low. If Pokemon cannot surpass my low expectations with this game then I'm done with the series also the toxic community doesn't help either. When the games and community gets bad that's probably when you should leave.
