my book recommendations are the Belgariad/Mallorean series by David Eddings. they are very enjoyable books and I absolutely love how the world in those series is built up.

Dude, I just found you and I'm so glad I did. I really like your stuff man! Was both surprised and really excited to find out you like Brandon Sanderson and want to be a rider. Same here. I highly doubt you'll see this but in case you do here are some resources you may not know about. Brandon Sanderson has his college writing classes on KZbin which are free to watch. There's like 10 of them by camera panda I believe. He also has a podcast with several other riders call writing excuses. Both have been extremely useful resources that I thought may help you as well. Also, there's a guy named Derek Murphy who is an self published author and does several videos and a book on how to get Amazon to sell your book. If you're ever interested in self publishing. As for fantasy books, you may want to try the farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb. That trilogy is probably her best work. In my opinion at least. If you'd write a book, I totally read it! I love epic fantasy!

Scykoh the one comparison between books and movies Ive seen is that you can spend Multiple chapters in a book inside a characters head analyzing their thoughts on a situation all while they stand in a doorway. In a movie that scene takes a couple of seconds and the character just walks through the door

If you ever want a fantasy series that isn’t too intense but isn’t like... too easy? Idk how words work, but the Septimus Heap series is long but not super difficult language and the writing style is super unique and funny, and it’s my first choice example of unique but easy to understand setting. Also I just want more people to read it because it deserves to be popular.

I'll put my list of books I liked here, maybe you'll like them as well. :) The "Lockwood & co"-series of Jonathan Stroud. It's about teenage ghosthunters. Stroud has the ability to keep your attention to the very last pages, solves the " problem" of the book - and then leaves you confuded or shocked back just with the last paragraph. The "young elites"-series of Marie Lu. She managed to make the villain to a relatable protagonist. No one is purely " good", no one is purely "evil". And i think this is quite uncommon for a book for teenagers/young adults. The "the reader"-series by Traci Chee. (I don't think it's finnished yet. And i only read the first book, but will start with the second one soon) The story describes a power of books, of words, of stories and it feels so real the way it's written - and printed. I like the Percy Jackson-series (and the other series of Rick Riordan) as well, but I think the stories are popular enough for you to know. ;) That are just the ones that came into my mind, maybe I'll comment a few others at another time.

Hey Scykoh, small chance you'll actually read this, but i heard you talking about books and the way of storytelling, and i have to recommend Dan Brown to you. He has a very compelling way to tell a story and knows how to get and hold the attention of the reader. I read Inferno within 2/3 days, which is about 500 pages. He writes mostly thrillers, like the da vinci code, so i don't know if you like that, but the way of writing is reason enough to read them.

There are two great ones I recommend by Greg Keyes called "the infernal city" and "the lord of souls" They touch on oblivion and the elder scrolls lore and are based 40 years after the oblivion crisis. You may wanna check "A tale of nine lives" by Akimiya Jun. It's a short comic-strip. Granted, it's a COMIC, not a book, but 95% of its emotional power is in the words.

It's this free website you can use to keep track of all the books you've read, that also gives you book recommendations based on the books you've read and genres you show interest in. You can make these lists that you can use to keep track of all the books you want to read, and buy, or have bought and not read yet and so on. And there's also these user created book recommendation lists you can look through too. As far as actual book recommendations go, if I had to pick something like 3 I would pick: Illiad/Odyssey by Homer. Classics in every sense of the word. Some of the oldest books ever written and some of the greatest adventures known to man. I feel like these should be essential reading. Dr Seuss books: Because a book doesn't have to be huge and wordy in order to be entertaining and encompass great adventures. Specicially 'Oh, the places You'll go' takes you on a massive journey in just the span of a few pages and honestly feels super motivating. A great gift for someone finishing or starting a new stage of their lives. Lemoni Snickett's a Series of Unfortunate Events: On par with the Hunger Games and Harry Potter, this series is extremely well-written and engaging. Very dark and has this sort of Gothic-Victorian aesthetic. One of the things I love about it is the books themselves. They're hardcover and old looking and bound beautifully. Also they don't suddenly double in size like the Harry Potter ones do. It's worth reading at least one. I was between this series and Goosebumps but honestly Goosebumps was just cool because of its subject matter, which was horror for children, but not really good at the writing part. They were too busy churning book after book out for $$ to spell-check these books whereas Series of Unfortunate Events was clearly a labour of love.

Love the videos, looking forward to the conclusion of this epic adventure. Just curious I have come up with a set of rules for what I think would be a fun challenge, just want to hear what people think.... No Normal type or Dual Normal type. Torment is in constant effect. i.e. same move can not be used twice in a row. No Pokemon from a family tree that uses evolutionary stones. No stab moves. (Moves of the same type as your Pokemon) No Legendary Pokemon. Any Pokemon used in a successful gym battle must be immediately retired/released. No more than two of the same type Pokemon in the team at any time. Including dual types.
