A good mewtwo built would be Amnesia - to compensate the loss of special defense from 406 to 278 and to take crunch and dark moves easily substitute to be immune to 1 hit K.O moves and to be immune to toxic, confusion, paralysis Hidden Power Rock-to counter Ho-Oh and flying types and attack special walls Psychic so you have at least a super effective or neutral damage against most other Pokemon and leftovers as an item to recover HP while being in the substitute. This way you totally wall most Pokemon. another Mewtwo built would be Leftovers Amnesia-against dark type moves and other special attackers Dynamic Punch-against dark , rock and steel types it would confuse wobbuffet thunderbolt-against ho-oh Barrier- against mega horn of heracross and shadow ball and physical moves

​@@MedQu2 Amnesia is a wasted move slot on Mewtwo after the Special split. It's already bulky enough to take a few Crunches. The only pokes in gen 2 with reasonably powerful Crunches are Houndoom and (less so) Tyranitar, both of which Mewtwo easily dispatches with Submission. The real problem for Mewtwo as far as Dark types go is Umbreon, honestly Toxic might be the best option for that. HP Rock is too weak to be useful against anything besides Ho-oh, and even then it probably wouldn't OHKO. Thunder is a better option despite its inaccuracy because of wider coverage and Ho-oh/Lugia's massive SpDef. Psychic or Fire Blast/Flamethrower counter Heracross, which cannot OHKO with Megahorn, so Barrier is unnecessary for that purpose. Barrier is however a good option to counter Curse setups, but in that case I'd replace Amnesia with Recover. Self-Destruct is a good option too.

They have released this game on Nintendo Switch now. The only drawback is that you can only use the rental Pokémon that it gives you in the game. There was less call for games like this after gen 5 and 6 Pokemon released as with the release of the Nintendo 3DS and Pokémon X and Y it was more available to have 3D battles on the handheld consoles with a wider collection of Pokemon.

So in Pokemon Stadium 2, I don't have Pokemon that are personally mine; all are rentals. If I'm not mistaken, in order to exclusively own a Pokemon and give it certain moves (like in any Pokemon quest video game), I need a...Pak, is it? Something to do with a GameBoy I think, right? See, I no longer have a GameBoy, and I can only assume I'd be able to get a N64 Pak through an online order or this old video game store a relative got me this particular game from. My favorite Pokemon is probably Geodude. Let's say I wanted one for myself, not a rental, and I could give it moves I revere (like Headbutt, for example, because I'm curious if the bodiless "head-like" Pokemon looks more like its Tackling or something). Oh, I don't want to leave it there, because I have a question while I'm here. Why not make Haunter, Ghastly, and Genger secondary Dark types? They changed Onix's primary type into a steel type for its evolved form, the type of which was the added secondary for magnemite and magneton. And why not change *_Shadow_* Ball and *_Night Shade_* into *_Dark_* type moves?

While I can't really speak on the earlier rant, I think, the reason about Shadow Ball and Night Shade being Ghost type is very simple. Night Shade's typing wouldn't make any difference, as it's a fixed damage move, so it can't be not very effective or super effective against anything. It can, however, be immunized by Normal Types due to its type. It's the same reason why Seismic Toss is Fighting Type, so it can be immunized by ghosts. This gives the move counterplay. Otherwise it'd be guaranteed damage with nothing to be done about it. Shadow Ball is even easier- it's the main "Ghost" attack move. Dark Types have many good attacking moves, and Ghost doesn't. If they changed Shadow Ball into a Dark Type move, Ghost Types would have lost its premo attack, and become less effective at checking the things it should check.
