Pokemon Sun and Moon - Battle! vs. UB-05 Guzzlord/Glutton [Fanmade]

So I went out of order. Fite meh.
In all seriousness I was really feeling this one throughout today, so after fooling around a bit, I decided on this. Lots of organ and choir for that menacing emperor sort of feel, and I wanted it to feel a bit more climatic than the other UB themes, since this is the last one to face. i also did a little less dissonance this time compared to the others, but I like the way it turned out. I really like the choir. It signifies that you're fighting something big, and possibly dangerous. Mind you, Guzzlord is the only UB that had been stated to kill someone, which makes it seem like more of a threat than all of the others. The chorus captures that. It makes it seem like it's some sort of grandeur creature that's going to destroy you if you don't do something. Good job as always friend, keep up the good work!

DJ Renevux also no waste comes out of it so it's like a black hole, making it all the more dangerous. in a typical RPG is see this boss battle as a race against time sort of thing where you have to kill it before it sucks in everything. at least that's the feeling I get from this music. oh ya and he'd be like super big. Getting bigger over time as the battle progresses

DJ Renevux Thank you! And yeah it seems to be such a destructive creature I really wanted to emphasis that urgency of battling it. Since the other UBs (besides UB-01) weren't really made to seem as threatening in comparison, or at least, they didn't have much of a impact story wise.

Stats in pokemon rarely seem to match what a pokemon's real power should be. A guzzlord is a 2000 pound monstrosity that devours everything it encounters, but in game it has the exact same defense stat as a piplup. The fuck?!

This music makes it sound really threatening, which fits it to a tee considering its Pokedex entries about how it ate an entire mountain. Anything that can do that is definitely a force to be reckoned with

Mariah Fredricks Guzzlord eats moutains and buildings as food, as stated in its PokéDex Entries. However, humorously, it specifically describes how Guzzlord does not produce waste from its Eating (it doesn't poop), implying it uses everything it eats as energy.

After listening to this and re-listening to the banette theme you made, I've decided that Organs are my favorite thing from any of yer wonderful pieces. :P Seriously, this is probably my favorite theme that you made, it's mighty and dark with some sense of urgency to it (who wouldn't be urgent fighting a Pokemon who devours cities and mountains?), not unlike Buzzwole. I'm really happy you made such an epic theme for my favorite Ultra Beast! :)

also, out of curiosity, what kind of program do you use for making music? I'm trying to come up with original songs for a series I'm planning on making

RogueHirus I use FL Studio 10 and soundfonts I've found throughout the web, such as KH, Pokemon, F-Zero, LoZ, and even Metroid soundfonts (not all of them are used here). I have to stress that FL is a great program, but you definitely want to find some good fonts to work with, or if you are a VST plugin person, a few of those (tho they can be expensive iirc). Hope this helped and good luck with your series! Feel free to ask me any other questions you may have too. I'd be happy to answer them as best I can.

Yeah I always want to use organ, but it is hard to fit it in sometimes. Like, it wouldn't really be too fitting in themes for something like Kartana or Xurkitree, but I'll try to incorporate it more :D THanks for listening!

This is great! Throughout the piece I kept being reminded of your Silvally theme as the choirs you used sound similar in both pieces. This is way better than the ultra beast theme from the games but, then again, I'm a real sucker for the pipe organ, which is one of my favorite instruments.

And there I was thinking that nothing will beat your Xurkitree theme.... And nothing, so far did. But this one is fantastic too! Xurkitrees theme was just fitting it too well. My only problem with this one is that it isn't brutal enough. I imagine Guzzlords theme as very drum heavy, something like Gheties theme, but also with the Dusknoir/Darkrai DTS classical swell in it. This theme has that classicality, but not as much drums as I've expected. But music is a very, very subjective subject. People may tottaly disagree. That's why music is great! I'd like to hear your opinion. Very good job, either way!
