I think he knows just how influential he has been to the world, and leans fully into it. There are few songs that can bring people together quite like this one, which is funny seeing as it is from a children's show, but almost everyone knows the song who lived through that era, and anyone who enjoyed the show or games (even if they don't now) will more times than not join in. My Mom would have loved this. There I was, on my 10th birthday. Not knowing what she had gotten me, I went to school, and hung out with some friends for a bit after. Waited for my Aunt and Uncle to show up, and then it was time for gifts. Mom's was the last. She knew what I wanted without saying anything because Pokemon was our thing. We never missed an Episode. I opened up a copy of pokemon red, and pokemon blue. 4 years later, a little under three months after my birthday, she passed away from cancer. I miss my mom.
