If you clicked on the video and watched it enough to decide it was boring then you can't blame them for boring you. A lot of people enjoy this but you obviously don't so don't hate, just move on to the next video.

+Tanner Harmon It was bad. I feel bad for anyone sitting there about an hour for 1 game. This is why even though I like the game it can suck really bad as well. Not to mention the sheer amount of shuffling. I'd rather kill myself than play with physical cards... It was Seismacancer versus Wailcancer though. Not really surprised. It was like watching paint dry for sure.

If they are going to time these matches they should do it with chess clocks, so each player gets an equal amount of time to think.
@okokay7043
@okokay7043 9 жыл бұрын
+24Eagle11 The problem is that it would be very hard for local tournament organizers to have enough chess clocks for everyone, more confusing on small children in Juniors, and enforcing everyone to bring their own wouldn't work.
@24Eagle11
@24Eagle11 9 жыл бұрын
+mister nice well I can see it being a slight problem in local play, but not at the finals which would maybe be top 8 or 16. They should at least make chess clocks optional, and not a requirement. This way, if players find it more to their liking, or more fair, then they will invest in one until it becomes more of a regularity. And if kids at chess tourneys can understand the concept, I'm sure kids playing pokemon can too.
@okokay7043
@okokay7043 9 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree that chess clocks would be great, but you can't split the time format like this for different tournaments, it's just not good for the game. What needs to be done is enforcing 75+3 or even 90+3 for best of 3 and having judges be more on top of slow playing. (and yeah, good kids can understand chess clocks, but young kids trying to learn pokemon - it's already a complicated game, it would make it even more complicated.)
@24Eagle11
@24Eagle11 9 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by, "you can't split the time format like this for different tournaments." The finals (top 16, 8, or whatever) of the tournaments that really count (regionals, nationals, and worlds) can be the tournaments that use the chess clocks. I don't feel it would affect the game in anyway, only make it fair. There's nothing hard about pushing a button down after you attack. Although true about the judging, it would be hard to be strict on slow playing in my opinion. How are judges supposed to know when someone is slow playing, or legitimately trying to come up with a strategy. I easily understood the game as a 2nd/3rd grader, and I don't think adding a clock would've made the game any more complicated. That's just my opinion though, I don't think saying that the addition of a clock would make the game more complicated for the kids is a valid argument.
@Mitjitsu
@Mitjitsu Жыл бұрын
Enrique did waste time constantly looking through discard piles. If he sorted his and his opponents discards it would have been easier to track resources. That's not to say Jason ultimately was able to win via shady slow play.

This is a Constructed Format Event, which is where you bring your own 60 card deck from home. You have to submit a written deck list before the tournament begins so that they know your deck is legal, and you cannot change your deck after that point. There are two major Formats within Constructed: Standard and Expanded. I don't remember which one this event used. Expanded both then and now includes cards all the way back to the Black & White set, but the Standard Format changes yearly and only has about the last two year's worth of sets allowed.
