Ash and Brock are confusing the Pandora of Borderlands 2 with the Pandora of the movie Avatar, which was done by James Cameron. The joke on Claptrap being that nobody's heard of his game Borderlands, while everyone knows about the movie Avatar.

Pairs of any kind beat single cards. Great example in this case is that Ace high is beat by a pair of aces though it can just as easily be beaten by a pair of twos. Personally don't know where a flush falls in standing though.

A flush, despite not having any pairs, is fifth-best, so it *trounces* Ace High.
