It is pretty easy to scam people on many pokemon products. For christmas I bought the Zapdos collection 151 box. I was able to carefully open one side with a regular kitchen knife, I am sure using something sharper and thinner would achieve even better results. I took one pack out, opened it from the bottom and put some vintage cards in there for him to find. I haven’t resealed it, it felt and looked good. Then I just superglued the box and it looked brand new. You couldn’t tell that it was opened before, nor could you tell from the outside that one pack was left opened inside. My nephew didn’t notice it was opened from the bottom when he opened the pack. I did it as a present, just as a little extra surprise, not to scam anyone. But I would totally fall for it, if I were to buy it as a sealed product. Be careful.

Even if that fossil pack was legit, that seller gave him alot of junk for 1200 dollars. That fossil pack still wouldn't if made up for the rest. The fact it was fake just shows that the seller was full of shit and didn't have the means to make a vintage box. If he had any brain cells, he would of made an amazing box worth double the price so all pokerevs subscribers would of wanted to buy one. Dude missed out on making hundreds of thousands just to make a quick thousand.
