Even If you buy a guaranteed heavy 1st edition pack for 5k, it's crazy that even a psa9 holo of any card except a zard would not cover the price for pack. If the other 2 starter holos were at break-even point for the pack in a psa9, it's worth the gamble. But not with only 1 card that doesn't need to get a gem mint 10

Yeah you would grade the whole pack though, even PSA 10 squirtle, charmander , bulbasaur and pikachu go for high. But it is still indeed a huge none worth it gamble to normal folk

Yeah, I am genuinely curious about this as well. I tore through those like butter when I was a kid… hindsight huh. I remember racing a kid at a swim meet for 1st edition legendary birds. Never swam so fast in my life. I pulled a 1st shadowless chari at a comic store, was maybe 9-10, and the owner told me he would trade me 5 booster packs for it…. I fooked up big time 😢

My aunt and my dad’s coworker gave me their blinders and they were pretty good but my dad’s coworker was dumb as hell because In the last I saw a shadowless charzard but it was taped overall their most expensive card were vaporeon base set from my aunt which is 2,500$ while my dad’s coworker has Chansey base set 2 which is 1,500$

bro my cousins gave me a bunch of his cards when he grew out of pokemon and I remember they were all 1st edition base cards. I remember having so many of these cards and pretty sure I even had a charizard, not sure if it was holo or not. I used them a ton and they were nowhere near peak shape tbh but still it wouldve been super cool it see them all if I still had em. But my mom tossed them eventually when I grew out of pokemon cards
