Making two modern WSOP final tables is always a feat, but I don't think enough people give Damian Salas enough credit for not only making this run, but also getting to be crowned champ in 2020. Poor esp just isn’t refined as a player enough to know that when he goes all in with top 2 after his oppenenf 4 bet him that his oppenenf is never calling his all in with a hand worse than a10 and is losing opportunity to keep his opponents bluffs in by just calling.
@richardsimmonsjuggernautof97817 ай бұрын
Hesp didn’t understand that Blumstein NEVER would 3 bet the turn with hands like AK AQ etc, the worse value hand he has is A10 and even that is unlikely

Nah, the worse play at this final table was Ott going all-in over the top of Pollak's all-in with K-9 three-handed. He has to know that Blumstein is calling with almost any two cards with his chipstack, and K-9 plays poorly in that spot.

It was edited to show hands played, John became the main attraction so he had more hands shown. He did nothing wrong in coming 4th, he could have folded to 4th or better but chose to not slow down or sit out. He made a few solid folds here and made a huge mistake over valuing two pair A10. He put the nitty tanking pros to shame, proper schooled them.

Hesp talks WAY too much. He is giving out information like it was candy on Halloween. His betting is all wrong. He bets 3 mil on the flop and gets called. On the turn he should be upping his bet (unless he is unbeatable) but he makes the same bet which gives the opponent better and better odds to call and suck out. He will never make another final table ever again. this was his one and only fluke.
