As someone who plays constantly with crossplay off and solo matches, you are not going to find a solo match at 3am with crossplay off. By default the game sets it off, so the majority of players already have it disabled. Most of the time anything other than solo with crossplay off isn't a problem but the best time to cue are in the evenings/night when people are off from work, school and sports/activities even during the week day and day it can be hard to find lobbies (Friday, Saturdays and Sundays are generally the best).

I have always wanted all my friends to play ( and a lot of them did, now dont l ). So i have been closely analysing this through the years. Verdict: noobs will never get a lobby full of noobs. Think of it like running a dual-PC setup where the hacks are overlaid from one computer over the gameplay that’s coming from the other. You can do all the same audio cheese and aimbot as well doing this. Obviously there aren’t as many of these as there are regular vanilla single pc cheaters, but it’s definitely real, and very enticing to a cheater. I mean, they’re unlikely to get banned, and also get to turn cross play off for easier lobbies where there are (currently) less competing hackers? As far as I know you could always turn off crossplay for unranked on ps5 but you will only get other ps5 players, the ranked turn off crossplay was the one just added, and it will only cut out pc players you will get ps5 AND xbox players

The thing about cross play off is you can only match with other PS5 users who ALSO have cross play off. Not just other PS5 users in general. Also, console isn't thrown together if cross play is off. PS5 vs only PS5 WITH crossplay off, Xbox vs only Xbox WITH crossplay off. Can't be together and grouped as "consoles" as a whole. Not like PC where you have Steam, Battlenet, Microsoft store and whatever other PC platforms there are and that all gets thrown together as "PC players." Crossplay off limits the pool of players greatly.

I dont get why the queue times with cross play off are so high. Ive done it on PS since MW19 and these are by far the worst times to match by far.
