With 1 layer of toxic spike every opposing Pokémon that touches the ground (excluding steel or poison types) will get poisoned on the switch-in With 2 layers instead of poison the mons will be bad poisoned You can remove toxic spikes layers by switching in a poison type that touches the ground (so not poison types with levitate or flying/poison types or a poison type with balloon) You can also remove toxic spikes with rapid spin, defog, court change, tidy up, mortal spin

the design not really, on competitive side I like the grass pet ability, I think it's cool. The randbats set is ok imo, it has good spdef and can setup with bulk up
