I know this is not a political forum, but unfortunately Universal Healthcare would eliminate the need for songs like this! In my country (Australia) everyone pays taxes that go into the public Healthcare system, which every citizen has a right to access - rich or poor. The result is a noticeably higher standard of healthcare for everyone at around a third of the average cost per person of Healthcare in the USA. It just makes sense. Hence we sadly have no songs like this!

Not everyone pays tax. Only working people are taxed! Unemployed people don't pay, but are entitled to get 'free' medical care. Paid for by working class!

There is a Consumption Tax here, called G.S.T., which is the biggest tax source for the Government and everyone pays it when they buy something. Income Tax is a minor tax, so yes everyone here pays tax. Secondly, it is cheaper for everyone if everyone has healthcare. More people are available for work, less time is lost through ill health, more people enjoy better lives, average productivity is higher and I guess while many Americans may think it’s okay seeing their fellow countrymen suffering ill health while not being able to afford healthcare, it is not the Australian way to let our people suffer unnecessarily.
