Nah, that phrase is widely accepted even in parts of the world where breakfast food like pancakes, bacon and cereal arent that popular. i dont remember the last time i had any of that for breakfast honestly. like Poki explains, having a good breakfast means you will have more energy to go through the day. also having a big breakfast, and smaller lunch and dinner is the most healthy way of eating. almost all dieticians suggest that. (obviously this holds true for the average human being who works/goes to school from 9-5.)

You could get a bunch of fruit that is easy to eat as it is, or blend it in for a smoothie. Add some yoghurt and buy some bread and you get a healthy breakfast. If you need protein on your breakfast, you could have boiled eggs (cook 2 to 3 per round so you only have to cook 2 days) or make a frittata (a simple one with just eggs and cheese) and shove it on the fridge or even freezer.
