With a lot of Imane's demographic being on the younger side (Teenagers/Young Adults), I feel like its worth mentioning that your skin is also likely to get better just over time, and when you're more grown up. When you're in your teens you're going through puberty and so your hormones are through the roof, so its rather important to try and be patient with your skin.

It really depends. I had good skin in my teenage and early 20 years, but adult acne is starting to kick in. It is like going through puberty all over again xD I'm not one of the lucky ones, but I still have it pretty good

@@vineeta222 definitely depends on the season, skincare strategies, what kinda of environments I spend time in the most, and overall health. Maybe not better in terms of symptoms going away with age, but never say never.

This was genuinely very informative and helpful. Thank you for showing realistic pictures of your skin in different lighting and being open about it not being perfect all the time . It goes a long way in the type of social media climate we’re in nowadays. I would love to maybe see a makeup routine from you sometime :)

I can vouch for benzoyl peroxide to treat acne. It's the only thing that works for me (oily skin, so the drying effect is kinda welcome to some degree). In addition to the warnings by poki regarding skin irritations I'd also like to mention it can bleach clothes when not being careful - that includes colored towels. Also where I'm from I believe it's only available at the pharmacy but without prescription thankfully.

I have the exact same skin care issues and the same skin type as Poki. Throughout high school, I didn’t have any acne issues except for occasional pimples caused by stress. I’m in university now, and I have more bumps on the centre of my forehead… but everywhere else is perfectly fine. I tried salicylic acid like Poki did, but it didn’t work. I’m going to try that benzyl peroxide product and the black girl sunscreen (since I also watch Dr Dray and she highly recommends it, too).

I’ve been trying to find a good skincare routine for years but nothing drugstore related works. I have normal to oily skin and the one thing I have found that does help tame the acne is olay oil free moisturizer and the black African face soap. Once I get out of the shower and had washed my face I put the moisturizer on and it works for me. I wanna be able to do more with my skin and really treat the problem instead of taming it. If there is any suggestions that are safe for me to use please let me know.
