My dear m8, I’ve been listening to this song for ages - I played many MHs with my beautiful now passed away cat in my arms while in bed, and this theme was seriously our theme. I even had my cat as a companion on my quests. When he passed away, I was listening to this song… it felt like a sick twisted joke, after it being the song that united us so many nights, it also became the song I was listening to while apart from him on the second he passed away. I still cannot hear this without shedding tears. And just like you, it would have never been the case if it weren’t for such an amazing soundtrack. I know our stories are different but I figured I’d mention this because I completely know what you mean m8, that cat “was my best friend” as sad as it may sound to some.

My mom used to pick me up for dinner before my afternoon classes and i played this while eating. I remember doing the quest with two tigrex and being on my Last cart and out of potions and my cat killed the Last tigrex as it charged at me I was around 9 years old. I had a pirate psp copy and on my birthday my brother came home with an oficial disk copy of it. I lost my psp and the disk. But i keep the case to this day. This was my childhood. That beast just scared the hell out of me and everytime I mustered the courage to face it, Tigrex just stomped me which made me fear it even more. I would just spend lots of time in this game walking through the village, pretending I lived there and doing every other quest I could. Those were good times. Recently, I got started on Monster Hunter World and finally faced the Tigrex again. This time, I was the one who walked away victorious. Finally defeating my childhood nemesis may have been one of the best feelings in my life. I still have my old PSP. I might just load up MHFU again and continue where kid me left off a decade ago.

We all hated those hitbox, those small monsters, the negative food effects, Bullfangoes, Plesioth, Tigrex, Rathalos Flying for too long, Rathian spamming Tail flips, Hypnocatrice spinning for too long, Gypceros wasting our time running around the map spitting poison balls, Diablos spamming dig attacks, The 2 rajang in the arena, Fatalis Dps.... But In the end we'll always want to go back to Pokke. Best village in the whole franchise.

@Hi_Nu Ver 0 Zero_Tester I'd say MHW is not as easy as people think it is, but MHFU sure is harder than it. The last quest in G rank(ukanlos) sure was tough unless you're a hammer main and know how to use it ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ

This song is great to relax to. I always appreciated it back in MHFU, since bullshit hitboxes were everywhere and it could be teeth-grinding to deal with them. This song's basically the equivalent of a warm hug and a mug of hot cocoa from someone you love, right after coming in from the cold. Welcoming, relaxing, gentle, laid-back... there's no pressure here. Just comfort.

My first game was MHFU, I had fun as a kid back then even though I had no Idea what to do. When i played MHG and realized that you can travel to other Villages, I went to Pokke Village and finished all quests there instead of Bherna, this place just hit different.

Still remember those times when still a kid playing MHFU on my brother's PSP, then he also bought another one..well 2nd hand from his friend so that he can tag along with me against large monsters also guide me buying certain equipment and items going through all until we manage to get G rank quest >.

This will forever be one of, if not the most comforting and nostalgic village theme in the series. Pokke just, like everyone says...feels like home, even to those who didn’t start with the first MH.

My wife and I played Monster Hunter together ever since she had me pick up MH Portable 3rd, we've been together since. Sometimes we just cuddle and listen to this music after a session of hunts. I really love her and I hope you guys find a life partner that you can share your hunts with too.

This is where it began for me... in that small cold village, that burning desire for revenge against a Tigrex, the villagers welcoming you with warm heats and soup, the praise for ones talent at hunting. Hell the people you’d meet online and that triumphant feeling you get as you carve the body of a challenging foe... Oh god damn it I’m getting sentimental... Just... fond memories is all... I’m gonna have to take a trip back, take in the atmosphere again. Maybe kill a Tigrex or two, who knows.
