#CINEPOLITIKA2024 ENTRY NO. 6: Tanikala ng Malisbong
A Short Film Production of POL223.
A STORY UNTOLD, A STORY THAT LIVES.
Vene is a professor that advocates for the victims and gives awareness on what happened at the Palimbang massacre during the repressive era of martial rule in Mindanao during the 70’s. Though long has passed since the horrific night of the Palimbang massacre, the horrors of that event transcends through the present time. The initiatives of Vene, much so her thesis, that made known of the injustices that the Moro people of Malisbong has experienced irked the personalities behind the massacre. The narrative of the women of Malisbong during that night through Vene was tried and tested by the same force that took away their men -- but the story of Malisbong lives on.
