- Being an avid fan or the greats, JMJ, Tangerine Dream, Vangellis, Mike Oldfield and so on and so forth.... - And that i'm playing this through a quality, spacial and well set up HiFi - er, setup. lol. - I came from another fine, no, DAMN fine version of this (a beautiful rendition of Love On A Real Train blended this Poland Pt1)... Link Below.. Now... Two things, 1 - I saw the thumbnail, and thought "Ok, this might be interesting"... 🤔🤔, "Go on then, lets try this..." As the music started, seconds turned to minutes, my concentration turned from straight faced listening, one of having a smile grow like a flippin Cheshire cat...! THEN my thoughts were.... "Yep..... Oh yeah!..... Hell to the yes yeah!....". To: Each and every one of you on and behind this video, who put time into this acoustic rendition.... Bravo... Beeeeeutifully done! (I WILL be coming back for more listening pleasure time and time again I can assure you!). I would not be surprised if the late Edgar himself wherever he may be, looked down and was happy at the care and respect you have shown in this rendition, (may he rest in peace enjoying the fact that fans/followers of old and new, are enjoying his (and his colleagues) combined genius). & 2 - (IN NO WAY am I even attempting to detract from these talented, hard working and skilled folks in this video. I am simply trying to share what other beauties I have encountered for others to enjoy, drift away, relax, or whatever to...) Please, spare some time - 12minutes - by checking out this guy Simon Prince, who took his time (thankfully) to create the sound as near as dammit to TD's. He utilised two of the most beautiful pieces TD did (LOART and Poland Pt1), and combined them oh, so, faithfully and sublimely.... This personalised tribute to TD and Edgar & co, seriously requires some good (NOT bass heavy - but balanced) headphones, or a well set up stereo, trust me.... You will not regret it, as your TD loving ears will thank you. If you DO take up this offer of aural joy, please, tell him I sent you, link him to this fantastic video too, and give him some much deserved love. Because if the following linked video is an example of what he can do, then Lord knows what he is capable of with other stunning pieces of music, and I personally, just like an impatient kid, can't wait... 😁 Take care, and all the very best to you and your loved ones (especially in these trying and troubling times) - Oct 2021 Paul 🦇😎🇬🇧 PS... If you would like to add to/increase on your favourites list of fine originals/modern variants of/new creations/etc to feed the mind/body and soul, after all, what do they say 'Music being the ........', then feel free to let me know, and maybe, you too can enjoy more 'eargasmic joyous' pieces like this you may not be aware of is out there.... 🤗 kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4Hdp5R-jLyroMU

Wow... As a 70 years old TD fan - and also guitarist, though late in life... -, who knew the band too early with Phaedra in 1974, when I was still 24 ( ! ), I'm deeply emotioned by listening to and watching your awesome acoustic transcription and performance of this highly intricate eletronic piece from 1983. And the great tribute you are paying to the geniuses who created this piece, the late Edgar Froese ( we miss him very much... ), Joahannes Schmoelling and Chris Franke. Tears of emotion are dropping from my eyes while I listen to you superb work. I feel very glad that very young musicians, many of them I believe were not even born in 1983, are truly loving Tangerine Dream's legacy and creating new versions of their music. Thank you VERY, VERY MUCH ! One thousand congratulations ( from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ) !

Absolutely incredible! What musicianship - to maintain such stunning rhythm, synchronisation; to show such an understanding of the piece; to be able to translate such an iconic electronic piece into a completely acoustic rendition. Extraordinary innovation, invention and vision. I mean this when I say - this deserves the attention of the Grammys' or similar award - it's _that_ innovative.

Great! It's one of my favourite TD pieces, especially that I remember the original Zabrze concerts back in 1983. I am amazed with the idea to make acoustic version, and the result is overwhelming. Moreover, it's not a direct copy of the TD piece, but - better to say - creative rework. Big pity that only part one of the Poland concert is made by you; I would eagerly listen to the whole one . A nice joke is the girl in the beginning, announcing the team (in perfect Polish), as a very close paraphrase of the text read by Jerzy Kordowicz in the original recording.

@MarioVAmaya3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, most of TD's music has big brains under a deceptive surface. For example, on the ending part of Horizon we have a development of a track from The Soldier soundtrack, later reworked as Ayers Majestic. It features a manic ostinato bass, frantic military drums, displaced polyrhythms and completely clashing chords, creating the most perfect ever sonic portrait of Reagan-era Cold War paranoia. A lifelong dream of mine is to try a cover of this complex work. Not necessarily acoustic...
