Glass Central Station is honored to present this content from the 2018 Glass Art Society Conference in Murano, Italy. In this demonstration, Chris Ahalt aka "Cha" created a polar bear balloon sculpture. In conversation with the audience, he discussed the development of this theme in his work and how he creates the mixed-media bases for his pieces among other topics. Also featured is a tour of the Carlo Dona store & workshop in Murano.

Beautiful designs and they spoke to my heart. All of the animals looks as if trying to break free from capture. Sad what humans do to these beautiful animals.
