This Precalculus video tutorial provides a basic introduction into polar coordinates. It explains how to convert polar coordinates to rectangular coordinates and how to graph polar coordinates by plotting points using the radius of a circle and the angle measured counter clockwise from the positive x axis. In addition, it explains how to convert rectangular coordinates to polar coordinates and how to provide multiple representation of polar coordinates using negative r values / radius and negative angles. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

Not that it affects it too much, but at around 20:40 he/ you forgot to make the x value negative, so that means the angle is actually -60˚. I know that the graph literally stays the same way if you're not graphing by the angles (which is what was done), but I just know that some math teachers will be like THERES A HUGE DIFFERENCE and point it out to you😂

I am currently taking calc. 2 in college and i have been coking home and watching ur videos during my studies. They have been very helpful and its always clear as to what each step is that u are doing. This video, however, is one of my least favorite. It did end up watching it because it was more helpful than the other videos on youtube. It was hard find exactly what i wanted because i have specific questions. The reason i didnt favor this video as much as the rest is bc you are using degree and getting decimal approximations. Most teachers at this level want exact answers and the only time i have personally seen degrees is in trigonomotry. When dealing with trig in calculus we always use radians. I have worked sith many tutors over the years and most of the time "math" people have a preference, but when traching students who are seeing this material for the first time it is more helpful to show examples based on what is expected of the student and not how you like to do it. I assume most tutors enjoy math, but they have to still look at it as you are learning it for the first time. I'm sorry if I'm not clear in my comment. I love your videos. I'm just not fond of this one because when you are using degrees it gets a little confusing and hard to follow because i dont have the degrees memorized like i do radians which is most often used in calc classes.
