Thundering pulse comes with a bonus 20% attack at R1 and 40% at R5 on top of the bonus to normals for more normal attack damage than polar and decent riptide, and burst damage. Polar is just all attack which I don't like personally and likely diminishes when attack buffs like Bennett are thrown into play

I really was anticipating for him to redo the test to show everyone the real difference in damage between the Polar Star and Thundering Pulse. Too bad he didn't bother to show it. Even though he explained that the Polar Star would do higher damage than the Pulse I still think it's kind of bias of him not to show it instead coz I know there will be people who would claim that the Pulse dealt higher burst completely ignoring the fact that it had stacks while the Polar Star had no stacks before he used burst.

In the burst damage test he was testing their peak burst damage(obviously) so it's natural for him create stacks first. If what you're suggesting is true then why did he build stacks with the Thundering Pulse and not with the Polar Star? He also mentioned it himself that he forgot to build stacks for the Polar Star. If he did so the Polar star would be dealing bigger Burst damage than the Thundering Pulse or the Harp or something along those lines. I wish he had just recreated the test to remove all doubts coz many players are still doubting the Polar Star's DPS potential saying it's weaker than the Pulse and the Harp completely ignoring the fact that the Polar Star didn't have stacks before he executed the elemental Burst.

Now imagine that but against 4 or more enemies. Riptide is such a broken thing against multiple enemies cuz each time a riptide procs it procs the ones near it too so for example if you are fighting 2 enemies and they both have riptide, The first riptide will explode dealing damage to both of them then the next one will also proc because of the first one and deals the same amount of damage. So if your riptide does 4k to a single enemy it'll do 16k to 2 enemies. Imagine three or more lol they wouldn't survive the showcase

Yes it is. But you need a ton of CD from artifacts because you will have plenty of CR between this and her ascension bonus. You can only reasonably maintain two stacks though. It will still outdamage Harp* with 2 stacks active, and it is better than any four star. But Amos bow or Pulse will be quite a bit better.

I think Harp might be slightly better for Support Fischl. Simply because if you're only using her to drop oz and swap, then you won't get any stacks. The when you cast oz from burst I suppose you'd get two stack plus a quick auto stack for 3, but that is only 50% uptime. Compared to Harp having the highest base atk plus CR and CD. I don't know for certain, but Harp seems better for a strictly off field Fischl

That alone is more dmg than 12% added dmg. That 12% is only actually increasing her dmg by about 6% total dmg. Where as the base atk plus CD is going to be closer to 20% more total dmg. Specifically talking about Oz dmg btw.

@@theSeventhDruid I just did the math with each equiped Oz's total damage on crit with Polar and two active stacks is 10,031 and 3 stacks is 10,435. With Harp it is 10,338 unconditionally. So Harp overall at R1 Vs an R1 Polar will do more damage on average. Polar does 100 more dmg on crit when she has 3 stacks active from using burst, normal, and skill dmg. But when Oz is not activated through burst it does 300 less dmg. They are very similar but Harp is more consistent. However, if you compare R2 Harp with R2 Polar, then Polar wins by a lot. Simply because Polar gains way more per refinement than Harp does. Edit: I just equiped Amos and ran the numbers. It actually hits the hardest with a constant 10,441. However you get none of the CR from the other two option. It is technically better if you already have 60% or more CR on Fischl from artifacts. Assuming you have that same 60% CR again Pulse is actually her best pick due to her low base atk scaling poorly with atk% from Polar. Pulse without counting any stack dmg obviously comes out at 12,975 dmg per shot. Almost 20% higher than every other possible option, strictly because of it's absurdly high stats.

I mean, this is even logically doesnt make any sense, stat wise they are the same (22.1% CR + 20% CDMG = 33.1% CR). It is just +66 base attack vs +12% addictive damage. I mean yes, with the same gear Skyward Hard Oz hits harder than Polar Star's Oz, but this doesn't mean deal more damage, because of 11% crit rate difference. Overall damage will be lower.

Thundering pulse is doing more damage than polar star is because Tartaglia’s overall stats have 20+ cd in favour of thundering pulse. Giving TP the bonus food buff of 20% cr makes the secondary stat of PS less impactful and important. Since 1% cr equates to 2% cd in the game, giving TP 20% cr should be equal to giving 40% cd to PS. This would make a fair comparison and results in PS dishing out more damage.
