If I remember correctly, inside abandoned outposts, there's a loose vent behind some cargo (that requires extremely precise cursor placement to interact with) that has a keycard for that outpost's armory. I think the keycard room is the same every time, just so you know.

Fun fact: the assistant's clown tree has the ability for you to build a clown exosuit, called the funbringer 3000. During the clown faction quest line, you get this exosuit and are told to prank an entire city into converting to clownery. It is exactly as fun and chaotic as it sounds.

You should try the HMG + Bandolier combo (Bandolier increases firerate of your guns). Also, apparently outpost security officers have buffed health, so... yea, thats cool :(

I have found a way to show these outpost npcs what lies beyond the veil. All you need is a boarding axe and a diving suit, i mainly use Slipsuit. Then make a few windows in the outpost using your axe, im sure that the air is kinda heavy in there. Let's see the outpost security parry 500 atmospheres of water pressure.

Found an easier way. Autoshotgun with explosive slugs. I call it "Separatist Deleter". Insanely effective.

Fun fact: outpost NPCs have about 3 times their normal HP, meanwhile abandoned outpost NPCs only have a half of their health

I hate how accurate it was when you checked out if the fire is real. Every time it we must charge in burning hellscape to know for sure. Explosive ammo on ruins and wrecks is never wasted. After all it removes them from existence, thus it counts as cleanup work. On the Typhon 2 you could switch the bottom large to a railgun, the two small turrets will take care of the swarms.

Consider infecting outposts with the husk virus first before attacking them (the monsters have a lot less health than the humans) this is also good for stealing because they dont hate you if you kill monsters (and also not if you shoot them with a husk syringe)

just a heads up from a fellow sociopath, I've found the best way to clear an outpost is to paralyze all security guards/ stun gun them and handcuff them. The game devs intentionally beefed up the outpost dwellers health by a lot because of multiplayer greifing. Additionally, if you don't want to waste paralaxys, you can calyx extract the guards and wait. takes a long time, but they don't react to you calyxing them if you're neutral unlike paralyzant, and once they finally turn their health is reduced to normal levels. You also don't lose rep this way. Something to think about...

I have to say, from my experiences in game, Pirate Outposts are karking bussin, as long as you can cover the admission fee to enter, you can get A LOT of explosives and ammo, then again, a 5000 mark-ish admission might be a bit much rn

Having a launch update that adds a bunch of new stuff thats never been tested enmasses before has funny quirks. Was it unplayable? Was it crashing constantly? No? Then i dont see what the issue was. Arguably one of the most stable releases of this year when compared to big budget multimillion dollar games id say..... Also as for why they dont feel the need to swap their oxygen tanks its cus they dont need too. It uses the air oxygen. If they needed tanks they'd swap them but they dont.

The "how did it release with all these bugs" is why im very glad i refunded after initially buying it in EA, and then snagged it for a 50% discount some time before launch. As cool and unique this game is, the singleplayer lacks polish and quality of life to the point where it edges on unfun.
