"I think" Polaris designed the middle axle to be higher than the front and the rear to aid in turning. Adding some weight should help, but once you have the drive shaft extended, and the rear wheels are powered, you will be good.

I think that's the case as well, I've gotten the driveshaft extended and everything's fine. Looking back at older photos and footage you can see the middle axle sitting slightly higher and the middle tires would even spin slightly when going from forward to reverse, indicating there's not much weight on them.
