I had such an issue with an old 2nd hand tractor, and you know what, i put a 9mm hole in the fuel tank (actually 3), stood a couple of feet away, and lit it up! It burnt for 2 days and after 10 years the wreckage is still there where i burnt it. Made me feel quite relieved that i never ever had to break my back fixing and struggling with the piece if sh!t. Unfortunately i didnt make a vid if it, so my suggestion is make a vid and post it to polaris. And if pissivle, use a .45 ACP or 12 ga. 😂 Good luck. South African Farmer.

I haven’t been thoroughly impressed with my 2016 either compared to the quality I felt that they had in 98 when I had my 500 sportsman. At like 300 hours I had to replace all the wheel bearings and I’ve had to replace a couple CV shafts and I don’t go muddying or anything just driving around the farm. I also had the foot brake piston go out at 200 hours. We did buy a Ranger in April and so far I’ve had pretty good luck with it no issues so far. My sportsman hasn’t had any engine problems so I’m thankful for that. I agree the battery is in a piss poor location on the old 98 it used to be located up high on the left side of the seat with it being down there they go underwater and get mud and everything packed up there.

I bought a used Polaris 570 Midsize Ranger, that I knew had issues. I thought I could find the problems and fix them easily. But----- Three codes were showing, and they all pointed to the throttle body. Low voltage, and position sensors out of sync. The dealer was no help. Expensive, and they don't know any more about the Polaris than I do. I ended up finding some wires going to the throttle body that were worn in two. I fixed them, and the three original codes went away, but a new code appeared. It says "the limp home mode position check failed." 0 520280 31 In my attempts to fix the machine, I ordered a used throttle body from a "reputable" company, and so tomorrow, I will put the original throttle body back on the machine and see if that changes anything. it could be that the throttle body I bought is not compatible with my machine. In all the information I have looked at, i have found no "fix" listed for any of the trouble codes listed. You would think that if a trouble code is listed, there would be some information somewhere telling the technician (me) what to do to fix the problem. If you can help, I would appreciate it.

I'm having this same issue out of my 2016. I bought the ATV brand new off the showroom floor and this will most likely be the second fuel pump on this piece of garbage with only 430 miles?! WTF?! I've heard of lemons but these Polaris machines are absolute turds. I've owned Honda after Honda and never had any issues like these. My brother even sank one in a pond and it still ran better than this dang Polaris. It might've smoked a little bit but at least it would idle.

I agree. My next one will be a Honda for sure. Since I repaired the due pump, the fuel gauge has stopped working. I’m still having overheating issues as well.

Maybe the injector?

Turned out to be the fuel pump. What a pain. Thanks for watching.

@@HeritageFarmsTexas It was the pump? Previous replies you mentioned the issue was still there after replacement?

These Polaris 570’s are junk. Constant problems with the fuel system. Mine is 5 years old, almost 150 hours. Looking at my 3rd fuel pump. Starts sometimes but will not run past idle.

Yeah brother I’m working on a neighbors 2016 570 right now backfire is Pops Bailey idles pulled everything apart I’m gonna run a fuel pressure test on it tomorrow morning I’m guessing it’s the pump because I put my hand over the snorkel on the top of the airbox it actually sucked the case in pretty far and then started to run right so it was Pulling fuel like a bastard,so I’m guessing it’s the pump, but you’re right these things are a bitch to work on in a poor design. I have a 2005 scrambler, and a 2001 that has actually been to hell in back hundreds and hundreds of hours on this machine “carbureted “ no senses, and relatively easy to service…. After watching your channel and talking to people that know Polaris is I guess these particular machines are notorious for bad pumps.

It’s the pump. Thanks for watching. Side note, mine has been running decent since then.

@@HeritageFarmsTexas that’s good to hear she’s running good now. I just did a pressure test and only receive 25 pounds and it wouldn’t hold a prime, soon as you shut the machine off boom right down to zero.I put a new pump in it 59 pounds of pressure she runs beautiful now. Great video keep up the good work🇺🇸🇺🇸

I actually have done quite a bit of research now and the problem isn't the fuel pump like everyone is claiming. The problem is the idle sensor is out of adjustment and needs to be fixed kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqXQg3iraNGMitk

Thanks for watching. Fuel pump solved my problem.
@Mangled_Spirit3 жыл бұрын
@@HeritageFarmsTexas It very well could be the problem, I haven't had time to test my theory yet or take my rig to the shop but I did find that video I shared about the idle adjust sensor that could do the same thing.

Did that fix yours. I cause I changed my fuel pump 2 times and every time I change it it runs perfect then gets hot and dies and backfires and then just keep turning over but want start

Sorry you guys have 570 problems, I have a 2017 that has been flawless. If you google it these are well known to be as good or better then the 500 h.o. they replaced and very long lasting reliable quads. Maybe the fuel system got revised in the later years.

Fuel system. Start by making sure you have good fuel. Then filters. Then pump. Lmao I just heard the filter is in the tank, God have mercy on you... I agree with the CEO!
@HeritageFarmsTexas4 жыл бұрын
Amen brother, Haha. I think I’m going to listen to the CEO, I see a Honda in my future. Can you believe the fuel filter/pump is in the tank? Really?

I really think this type of thing is related to planned obsolescence. They are trying to eliminate any type owner maintenance by making it so cumbersome people give up.

Fuel pump hast to be snug on the pump carrier because it loses pressure and oring in there moves, Also these engines consume oil you have to be checking oil from time to time becaise lower crank bearing will go out, Once you learn to fix em you'll like em 😂😂
