@@jtltet 8-10 inches of heavy wet yes. After that I usually bring out the tractor because I can clean the driveway but not wide enough for the next storm. The tractor helps me move the banks out so there’s room for the next storms snow piles.

Great video and thank you for sharing. Looking to get a plow for my xp 1000... probably next year. The video is great, but the music was too loud. I think most of us would prefer to just hear the noise of the machine rather than music.

It’s all Polaris parts. The plow and hydraulics and the general 1000 deluxe were all bought from Powersports of Abrams. Wisconsin, 15 minutes north of Green Bay.

I look up a bunch of these videos and always find it soothing. As a car guy, I would rather listen to the music from the engine than actual music, but that's just me. I'm looking to buy a SxS myself. Can you tell me what wheels and tires you have on yours as well as their sizes? I absolutely love the look of them. They look like they belong on a HUMVEE. Living in eastern Canada, we can get some massive snowstorms, sometimes one after another. I would eventually like to match my SxS with a Bercomac snowblower on wheels.
@steffenoutdoorswi Жыл бұрын
I have 2 sets of tires, off-road and road tires. I’ll have to get the tire specs and get back to you. I’m just west of Green Bay Wisconsin so don’t get the storms like east of here but we do get plenty of snow.

What brand is your windshield and does it have a manual wiper or electric. Enjoyed the video. Thanks
@steffenoutdoorswi3 жыл бұрын
It’s all Polaris. The doors, windshield, plow, everything. The wiper is electric and does spray fluid (sort of) from the top of the windshield. The fluid spray is a little weak but gets the job done. The switches for the wiper and fluid are mounted on the dash.

It’s a 72” plow. I got the hydraulic angling feature which is really nice. I can’t find a record of what specific model it is. It’s pretty light weight.

Would you ever give up the snowblower? In your videos you seem to always have both running. I have neither, and am trying to decide if I need one or the other, as my driveway is a little :-) shorter than yours.
@steffenoutdoorswi3 жыл бұрын
The snow blower is great near the garage. Other than that, the General does the rest. Close to 450 feet of driveway so it would take 3 hours to clean 2 inches of snow but I do that in ten minutes with the General. Near the garage , I can clear most of it but not all. Plus, dad loves to run the snow blower even where it isn’t needed, lol. He loves to help and I’m going to let him. 😁
