Thank you. I love that you spent time on the little technical aspects like pressing back the clutch.

So you don't use scotch brite to scuff the sheave surfaces and you don't wash and scuff the belt? I thought that was standard practice.
@rmatvmc6 жыл бұрын
*jworpet* that is good practice for sure. In this video our main focus was "how to replace" a utv drive belt. Thanks for sharing your tips with us.

Hello, I have a polaris RZR XP 1000 (2014), I'm having problems heating this CVT when I use it severely for more than half an hour, the belt gets too hot and I realized that it loses its useful life ... the problem also occurs when I walk in the range of 30km without stopping, in the range of 90 to 100km / h, it also heats up the belt a lot! Would you have any option to change the air more to cool the CVT? I've already researched the internet, but I didn't find any option for this problem ... I thought about adding a fan cooler, only stronger, to force the CVT air circulation

How long before the Check Engine light goes off???
@Its_steve_bro5 жыл бұрын
Ernesto Gonzalez the check engine light won’t go off as it’s a mechanical issue. If the machine jerks or jumps then is probably time for a new belt, this means it could be slipping.
@jakefuller75975 жыл бұрын
Usually 1/4 mile after you restart the engine and the issue is Corrected. Drive at 1/2 throttle and it will clear itself soon.

Whenever the tool presses apart the 2 sheeves and you install the belt. Does the 2 sheeves press back together by themselves?
@TheChris12991004 жыл бұрын
I just did this tonight and yeah, they retract a small amount on their own. Rotating the drum causes the sheeves to constrict, which is why I think they recommend rotating 5 or so time before reinstalling the cover. I'll find out more when I take my RzR out again soon...
@VegasJPH6 жыл бұрын
I'd swap them square pucks out for round ones. You can already see the wear from them. Also, spring guard is on backwards. ;)
@joehicks87866 жыл бұрын
Some aftermarket trailing arms require the spring guards to be installed backwards.
