Removing the AXYS track, suspension , axle, idlers etc - this is how you do it!! Change your bearings while in there!

I have 3k on my pro rmk and I bouce it of rocks, trees, stumps and havnt had any bearing issues... but I did just pull the driveshaft out in 2 pieces...

Sometimes you can take a thin knife pull the seals out of those bearings and pack them with low temp synthetic

If you don't lift sled the rear bolts and shaft have tension in them and they don't spin the shaft as easy, making it way easier❄🗻❄

They use all those sizes to save weight. It's just good engineering.

You will not like gearing that sled up you will miss the torque so bad I did it with mine big waste of money it is what it is meant to climb Hills. Don't fix it if it's not broke headaches glad you're back keep them coming Big Al Michigan

They must use some shit bearings on them sleds.. 600 miles or not they shouldn't be shot.. I had sleds with 5000-10000 miles on them with high speed RR grade miles on them and never replaced one idler wheel bearing!

I know you are hard on your sleds, but this is one of the reasons I would never buy a Polaris. I had less corrosion and better bearings on a skid I got for free that sat outside for 3+ years out of a 1999 Arctic Cat zr500.

Hey @powermodz do you have the part numbers to those bearings? Just pulled my skid out of my 17 axys rmk and found this video to be super helpful. Both sets of bearings are smoked!

It's sad to see all of those bearings being out on an expensive machine with only 600 miles. Did you replace them with factory bearings or try to find better ones? Great video tho, thank you

I'm presently replacing the driveshaft bearings of a 2013 Indy 600 SP and that pully drive side bearing is the crappiest piece of junk I've ever encountered in a 40 year General Machinist career specializing in high speed production machinery repair/maintenance.

I got 2 cats with about 5000kms each and seriously never had to do bearings..anywhere . nothing but few pairs of sliders and couple belts oh and 1 diamond drive , but thats 8 years of baggn on them

Louie I was sledding in West Yellowstone I heard a loud bang/pop and I couldn't move. So I looked underneath and my driveshaft had broken at the clutch and dropped down on that side. Basically, how screwed am I? Do I part out the sled? Do I try to repair it? Or do I put a match to it and go buy an alpha one or a summit?

Try 10 or 12 " rear wheels makes less fiction on the track.

You need to change bearings quite often but 90% of all snowmobile owners are idiots and don't change it until nothing is left, 10% are taking care of the machine and replace it. Small cost anyway...
