How does the sound compare to the Touring system? I like the growl but i do ike the look of the Touring system. Don't want too annoying in the interior.

Hello Michael, if you want growl and are concerned with volume.. i'd go with the Touring. The sound is almost identical with both systems.. but the Sport is a bit louder. Not annoying by any means in my personal opinion.. but if you're already concerned about interior noise before buying.. than I'd go with the conservative option so that your expectations are met and hopefully exceeded.

I've had a 4 Crotch Rockets & on my 2nd Harley with before and Aftrr Market SlipOns ... this in my opinion is a very clean sounding full Slip-Ons for a Sling ... #CRISPY 👍

I like one but honestly I wish that it wasn't so LOUD, it kinda deadens my music. Wish they had a option baffle for it that just deepens the tone more or tones it down

Just installed this today and went for a ride. Seems like more heat is coming into the cabin. The center console plastics feels hotter than default muffler. Is this normal? I figure it’s from the piping under the slingshot heating up the cabin.

It's ceramic coated. It should be a drastic heat reduction. We do have a DEI heat kit available if you'd like additional heat protection here: www.slingmods.com/polaris-slingshot-heat-control-kit

@@Slingmods just looked at the link provided. It’s for slingshots 2015-2019. Do you have a kit for the 2020+ slingshot? I have a 2023.

Hey Mark, so the 2020+ kit is in development. It's actually the same kit as the 2015-19 except it's a few pieces less, since on the newer models Slingshot's Polaris Included some of the pieces we offer in the older DEI kit. The 2020+ kit has all the trans tunnel pieces and the piece that goes underneath the passenger floorboard. If you didn't wanna wait, you could grab the 2015-19 kit and install the aforementioned pieces. I would also recommend one of our center vented hood inserts to alleviate some heat in the engine bay while driving. To much work , where do we find a lift to lift up a slingshot, not easy to do 😩 like it but don’t think I would do it

Most of our customers install this product without a lift, by using jack stands. Please note that we do also have a front exit available if you desire a simpler install. Thx!

Will this exhaust work with a stock 305 20 inch wheel with fender?

Hello Marc, it will definitely work with the stock 305, but it's not recommended with rear fenders due to the articulation of the rear swing arm. We do have customers running both together.. but we can't endorse that until we've tested the two together here at the shop.

Hello Bill, I think you may be better off getting a quote for installation from a local muffler shop. In our experience with customers.. the best way to get a quote from either your local Polaris Dealer or Muffler Shop, is to email them the installation video so that they can provide you with an accurate labor quote before you go in. How long should it take to install? I just called Route 1 Motorsports at 1300 US-1 S Malabar, FL 32950 and they told me they charge $110 per hour and it is a 4 hour job. Does this sound right? I don’t own the tools required for the job nor do I have the know how. With that being said I’m gonna have to take it somewhere. I’m gonna watch this video again and when my parts come in I’m gonna make up my mind then. But should it take a professional shop with all the proper tools 4hrs?

Hello, that time frame sounds about right for a homeowner with floor jacks. Should be a bit quicker than that for a professional shop, especially if they watch the video prior to installation. Everything here is bolt-on.. there is no custom pipes to bend or welds here.. but not a bad price for installation.

Can you use it with a 345/20/20 rear tire

Hello CBradley, the 20" will be no issue.. but we haven't tested with that width. I will say that the exhaust has more clearance to the left of the stock wheel than the rear shock does to the right.. so if your aftermarket wheel offset is the same as OE and a 345 fits with the stock suspension than the exhaust would also clear. Hope I made sense of that. Thanks!

Hello CBradley, I can't comfortably answer that without testing that size wheel in a real world application. The fitment would be okay parked.. but I can't verify clearance while driving without testing max swingarm articulation. You may consider the "touring" exhaust system we offer by Thermal.. you'd get a similar exhaust note to the sport, but without concern for aftermarket wheel clearance.

That's subjective. We do offer a "front exit" as well, which is a much simpler install and still gives you a great sound.
