Couldnt agree more!!!! Its a joke. I ordered 3 boosts from 3 diff dealers. 137. Michigan. None of them are here. All had 11-15/12-15 then 12-19/12-31. Now 1-5/1-19. All neon/orange. None here. It's certainly a tough situation and I was in the same situation waiting on my black VR1. Knowing the challenges that the manufacturers faced last year and with a build date the same as yours, I decided to take matters into my own hands and called a bunch of dealers looking for a sled that someone backed out on. There are a ton out there, even more so with Doo as there are G5's everywhere. There is no way in hell I would be sitting waiting for my boost to come in. Go find one. Your dealer will understand, it's not his fault, it's not your fault. I did the same to my long term dealer and it's business as usual. Best decision I made as I have 1200mi on my '23 and you can't put a price tag on riding a new sled that you really wanted. Go get a boost and stop waiting!

I'm glad you made this video! All manufacturers need to see this and get things straightened out before they lose their loyal consumers that buy every season. Their should be no reason that spring orders shouldn't be at the dealer and ready to be picked up before December 1st IMHO.

I ordered a switchback assault boost with lime tunnel, and I’m in the same boat losing my damn mind. I only went with the snow check because Polaris said they were limiting numbers of orders to mitigate these delays. Well here I am without ANY sled. I was told my sled would ship 1/3-1/13, I have been calling the dealer and checking portal with no updates. Today, I got my update, it is now scheduled to ship 1/21-1/31, so it will be here at the end of our season here in New England. I am BS! Bad time for me to switch from riding ski doo all my life. They better offer some compensation.

I live in Alberta. I had ordered from a dealer in Saskatchewan a SnoChk 23 Adventure x2 with s4 engine. Black with Black tunnel and orange ski tips and rails. Was gona match my 19 Kawasaki vulcan 900 custom. I'm 57 and grew up in Northern Ontario and I want to tour. I had not owned since mid 90s. After getting my 3rd delay of shipping notice , last scheduled for end of January, i pull out and asked for my deposit back. Dealer was super understanding and I got the $ back. He tod me the order was completely canceled so he's not going to be stuck with it which I'm glad for him. A few days after I canceled, my brother's in our home town of Cochrane Ontario convinced me to take a look at Bourques Auto sales, local Polaris dealer. I bought a 23 Adventure 650 which I'm super excited for. I'll be picking it up in March when I drive out for a 15 day visit to the area. District 15 of OFSC. I can't help but think this is such a "first world Problem " Cheers

I definitely feel what Revrider is saying. Manufacturers are playing both sides. Get your Spring Order in within 24 hours of release or your going to be left out of all the newest features and models. Fast Forward to December... Oh jeez, supply chain this, lack of parts that, allocation!!. Maybe February delivery. As you watch trails open and close with the crazy weather in regions some of us live in. All while just stopping short of making YOU feel bad that your upset that you want to have your spring order sled delivered before they release the next year's models and the cycle repeats itself.

I agree 100%. It seems like Polaris is doing a really poor job, but Skidoo isn’t much better. My father had a 2023 Doo delayed twice. We finally got it, but it’s mid January. I usually spring order a new one every three years, and this spring is my year, but I’m strongly considering not doing it. I want to be guaranteed my sled will be in my hands before December 1st. I think that should be a no brainer and easy to do. I agree with you that I’d almost rather just keep my existing sled and just be pumped up to ride what I have, than to order a brand new one and be excited to receive it, only to be majorly disappointed when it doesn’t arrive until the season is half over with. These manufacturers need to figure it out, quick.

Man thats a bummer for sure. What did he order? Exactly. Its funny the last couple years I found myself wondering why my first couple videos of the season seemed to really lack enthusiasm on my end and eventually I realized it because I'm thinking about how much I wish I was riding the sled I had ordered. Spring ordering has definitely lost its way and is now more about guaranteed sales for thr MFG rather than offering a premium product to loyal customers

I think that all of us that are in the same dilemma as you are, feel your frustration. Here in the upper midwest, we're having the best snow year that we've had in several years. But, I can't ride my new sled yet because it is still scheduled to be built, with the same ship dates as yours. My Indy XC 850 137 SnowCheck is on day 318 as of today. Black with black tunnel, blue skid, spindles and grills. My dealer has been great about keeping me informed regarding the build/ship dates, but their info is basically the same as what's on my Polaris account page. The last SnowCheck I did was in 2006 for a 2007 IQ. It was delivered in October of that year. My feeling is that all the manufactures that are doing early/pre season sales, should put the highest priority on those machines that they have hard orders for. No matter what the options and paint scheme is. Those machines should be the FIRST out the door, and THEN fill in with the dealer inventory models. It's a poor business model to keep loyal customers waiting this long.

I was really lucky I received 2, 2022 Polaris snow checks last year before Christmas and 1 2023 snow check this year also before Christmas. My big issue is all the recalls Polaris has, 2 recalls on the 2022's and 1 on the 2023's. On my first ride on my 2023 I had the engine light come on and it had to go back to the dealership. I think all the Polaris quality control department should be fired!

I ordered 2 sleds this year. Renegade XRS 900r with smart shocks and 7.8 display. It arrived to my dealer in October, missing 2 components. The sled was ready for pickup before Thanksgiving. Due to lack of snow and time, it has 47 miles. The second sled is a Polaris Assault non-turbo 850 red and white with a red tunnel. I recieved the same message as you. Should ship January 3rd through 13th. Here it is, the 14th and nothing, not even a new email. Now I don't even want it.

I know your pain Bobby. Last winter waiting till the middle of March for my new sled to come in was painful. Delay after delay started in October 2022, then it was 3 more weeks, then 3 more weeks. The numerous delays were enough to take the excitement out of the purchase. I swore I would never do it again until all the supply issues and craziness ends. Then knowing you have thousands of dollars worth of accessories just sitting on a shelve in the garage was brutal. Every time I’d walk-in the garage, there they were mocking me.. 😂 The only upside to your late arrival is there’s no rideable snow to make it worse. Fingers crossed it arrives soon buddy. Take Care

Pretty rough now with the whole allocation thing.. I had a hard time just getting my RMK snowcheck ordered in the midwest thru my dealer. They like the spring order business model for a few reasons. Main reason is efficiency. They're able to lean out their manufacturing process by producing the more costly (to produce) sleds which already have a buyer for them. In years prior to 2020, it was common for dealers to have a tremendous surplus of leftover unsold sleds. Dealers don't want to be paying interest on unsold units and the manufacturer doesn't want to have to hand out rebates. Having 2/3 of sleds sold 8-10 months before the riding season is exactly what they want. I feel bad for ya my man, its a shit sandwich all around.

Oh man, that’s so frustrating. I hung on to my sled from last year preparing for my Gen 5 Summit spring order to be late it luckily it was delivered in early November (and it’s a great machine). I agree limiting the model offerings (and maybe the list of options) could help. Cadillac used to have a program where you could special order their most popular configurations of a few models and guarantee you would have it within 30 days from order receipt. A system like that for a limited number of special models might be worth sled mfrs to consider, too.

Two comments: I absolutely feel the same as you. Two years now (21 & 22) I snowchecked Polaris's. In 21 an Assault 650 and then for 22 an 850 VR1. Both came in late (one mid and the other late January). I decided not to Snowcheck a 23 because of this. My second comment is I have three Polaris's. MY ATV was just recalled for defects and my two Snowmobiles are both "Do not Ride" and they can't tell me when they can do the upgrades. (No parts and also "as time permits at the dealer"). To be honest, I'm fed up with Polaris. No more Snow Checks for me. If it isn't on the floor I'll pass from now on. I'm looking at other makes.

Hey good video! I am sure it’s frustrating as you see the snowcheck process being inconsistent over the years. I was the first person to snowcheck a Black G5 Renegade XRS 850 (standard gauge and shocks, 1.5 ice ripper) at Ingles. I still have no delivery date in sight. I am holding onto my 17 XCR until the G5 comes in. My XCR has the stop ride order recall and local dealers have a list a mile long before they can get my sled in. I want the G5 to come in soon so I can install my studs and accessories. Hopefully both of our new sleds arrive and we get snow!

only new sled I snow checked was in 1996, was a 97 XLT Polaris X tra 12 suspension . Wow where has the time went. I believe that was the start of snow checking. It made since because it was tuff on dealers to just have a lot of inventory sitting on floor and then have a poor snow year. And they were stuck paying interest on them at a certain point. Not good for the home team. Many got out of it.

I agree the snow check thing is kinda crazy but I also see why they do it and I think they want all sleds or atleast as many as possible to be preordered. They’ve know since spring how many they need to produce and they should be prioritized.

Until we the consumers quit buying these things, the manufacturers don't give 2 hoots about us. I have no issue keeping up with my maniac buddy on his mid-00s mach z (1000cc 2 stroke). I was thinking about a renegade xrs beforehand but didn't realize you had to spring check it and I could only find base models at any nearby dealerships at the time. Wow that Sucks! It sure seems like the manufactures could give their customers an exact build date & time. They know the scheduled build date months in advance as they are scheduling suppliers and factories. Removing the unknown would help a lot. Polaris - be transparent. Then when there are disruptions (and there always are) - UPDATE the customer with the new build date & time. If they don't have a new date, let the customer know why. Basic customer service! And all Snowchecks should be the first units built - ahead of any dealer orders or the CEO's order. Fortunately for me I snowchecked my 2012 Ski-Doo Renegade X 800 etec and my 2019 Ski-Doo Renegade XRS 850 etec (Serial numbers ended in 0005 and 0074, respectively), and they were delivered to my dealer around November 1 of those seasons. So I had a good experience. I hope your sled shows up soon!

In the same boat man and pissed. Have a Boost VR1 on order, ordered 1st day on snow check all black black tunnel and the have moved my build date 3 times, still not built. Called customer service and they told me it was basically my fault for ordering a custom sled????? Why are stock sled being shipped? Your right and it is screwing my small dealer who is already getting screwed on the recalls they get paid 90 minutes to do. No excuse, not happy.

My snowcheck arrived while I was away over the holidays, when I got back the dealer had sold it to someone else, they gave me the deposit back but still I was pissed!

I live 2 hours away from the Polaris manufacturer and my xcr has said in transit since august 19

As for Polaris… if they want to fix the snowcheck process, they need to limit the choices, my 9r finally came in last week and hold up was the tunnel color I chose. They need to pair down the color and option choices… everything is a stock sled, offer wraps, offer real discounts for spring orders.

So let me ask you this. Why buy a new snowmobile every single year? Do you feel they drop in value too much if you hold on to them for a couple of years? I recently bought a used 21 assault 850 after not owning or riding a snowmobile for 20 years. My plan is just to keep this one and maintain it so I can enjoy it for many many more years. Edit: you answered most of my questions in the video. Maybe someday I'll learn to wait on questions until I actually watch the video haha

They honestly need to cut off the numbers like Ski-Doo did. Crazy that Ski-Doo within a few days said "Welp alright no more displays and no more smart shocks". There is also a lot of blame to be placed on the manufacturers too though. They are trying to push summer and winter toys down the same assembly line and maximizing their production window as late as they can. I remember when I was a kid my Polaris Indy XC SP 500 came in to the dealer in August of that year. Now its crazy to see Ski-Doo not starting production until October.

My lynx showed up at the dealership mid October. Received it December 23. No one would show up to work to build it.

It's an unfortunate situation all around and Polaris is not alone in this of course. I ordered a 600R Renegade X and was told it would be late February or even MARCH by the time I see it. I found a new 600R Adrenaline to get me by this season but I did have to pay up a bit for it.

I know of quite a few dealerships that order higher end snowcheck sleds in employee names for floor stock. They aren't even to do that but they get away with it every year.

I apologize for always asking questions, but have you heard any issues with the assaults overheating on trail due to the long track? maybe the 2 inch heats up more than the ice ripper? just curious!
@Revrider550 Жыл бұрын
The Assault definitely runs hotter than BRP sleds but ive never had true overheating issues. Even without running ice scratchers I just make sure to ride up onto a snow bank if we are using a road to access a trail or something. On my Arctic cats I've had to run ice scratchers to keep them cool however. Those sleds definitely run hot!

@@Revrider550 Thanks for always taking the time to answer my questions! excited to see how you enjoy the boost, I was at a dealer yesterday and they had a 23 red and black boost assault which may have sold me with the longer track, I think the boost would be perfect for that sled! also, excited to see what Lynx has coming on Monday!
