I have one that has 40 hrs on it and it sounds fine the assholes didn't add any fluid to the radiator it was a bit low. Its not leaking at least bit still worrying. They said they checked everything... it needs new front breaks fluid and maybe a wheel bearing soon. The engine sounds just fine but its only got 40 hrs

@@christophermay9141 Its got high and low im pretty sure high is just 1 gear same with low. Im talking about how the back tires dont turn freely of each other. The differential is locked all the time no off option . Its also not a straight axle , from what i was able to gather its just the metal flexn/making a bit of noise when the tire starts to drag . I have a 2020 450 ho polaris sportsman.

@Todd S front right wheel bearing... regarding the front diff just get extra hose and clamps . If you have a winch YOU HAVE TO PRE MEASURE FLUID AND FILL THROUGH THE VENT HOLE! Total bullshit. Even without the winch they have a freaking plate infront of it thats got 4 bolts. The techs at polaris said they fit their hands in there with a allen wrench.... i had an allen wrench and a swivel socket wrench . I bought tools just for the front diff fluid change... you either have the finger strength of god and a custom fit allen wrench or your effed. Designed to be took to the shop for everything besides oil change and rear fluid change and breaks.

@Todd S mine never did it consistently it was random. Then if i swamped it i noticed it would randomly make noise. I got some oil and shot in their and its help up since. Its on the list to fix tho.

Awesome plow setup, Polaris did a really good job! No swearing needed to get the plow on or off. I do have to comment on the front rack, though. Although mostly well though out and handy to use, (and for '20, the battery is mounted in there, making it VERY accessible), the rack (cover) itself is more than a little wimpy. Even when properly secured, I'm afraid to lean on it. It moves around when latched, and when tilted up, there's very little holding it on the machine. A better way would be to make a steel subframe and hinges for it, with some stronger latches.

Here's a few more "features" I learned after getting one. No owner's manual. It has to be downloaded off a computer (about 188 pages). Changing the oil is a pain in the butt unless you are a Smurf. My hands had a problem just getting through the opening to remove the dip stick and the oil filter is located in a very tight spot. Forget using most oil filter wrenches. Not enough room. The battery is located at the front just behind the front tires and held in place with a freakin bungee cord. Easy to get to, but totally unprotected. And the one that upsets me the most is, even in low range, AWD, you WILL be riding the breaks when going down an incline or you will be hauling butt by the time you reach the bottom. There is no engine braking at all. That makes for an interesting ride when going downhill on fallen leaves...you will be sliding on the leaves with little control if the brakes lock up. Bite the bullet and spend a couple thousand more and get a Honda. You'll be glad you did.
@1985cjjeeper4 жыл бұрын
Lol, none of that is worth a few thousand dollars. Plus the Honda has its own flaws compared to the Polaris. Parts are more expensive, less power, less ground clearance, 3 wheel drive instead of 4, and worse suspension overall. Now those things would be worth spending a few thousand dollars on.
@reb10504 жыл бұрын
@@1985cjjeeper I bought a new Honda 3 yrs. ago. The one I sold to buy the new one was bought in 98. That's 18 yrs. of use and only replaced the tires, battery, and starter. I assure you, the Polaris I bought last year for my wife will not last half that long. They are cheaply built, period. If I thought I could get within $300 of what I paid for it 3 months ago, I would sell it in a heartbeat except for the fact that it is my wife's and she uses it piddling around our 18 acres and she likes it. But when she goes with me out on our deer lease, we have to alter our riding so she wont have to go down any steep hills. Otherwise, she will be sliding on the leaves when she has to ride the brakes.
