Polaris Sportsman Ultimate Trail 850 Trail Ride POV - Best ATV for trails?!

2021 Polaris Sportsman Ultimate Trail 850 in blue. One of my favorite quads. Powerful enough, yet doesn’t feel like it’s too much. It is smooth and handles thru almost any trail. In stock form, it does lack in deep mud, but nothing some tires and a little lift can’t fix!

It's hard to tell, but is the only difference between the 850 and 1000 the engine? Is the 850 otherwise identical? I can't see me justifying the enormous price increase for the 1000 here in PA.

I believe so! I can say that the 1000 is way more powerful though. I raced one before and I got dusted. They pull wheelies like it’s nothing. The 850 is a lot more tame and controllable. Better all around quad IMO. Enough power for what it needs to do while not being too much. 1000 is more fun for the wild people

@@Rp-ridesisn’t it just bigger diameter cylinder sleeves? Read on a Polaris forum you can make an 850 a 1000 by just swapping sleeves and retuning (for the more cc’s). I agree though. The markup on the 1000 doesn’t seem worth it if you’re trying to pinch Pennie’s, but then again… why not just go all-in and get the 1000?
