Hi PZ . . . thanks for posting, i have an aging Polaris 380 and the plastic flange that is screwed to the pool wall (with 4 stainless screws) has developed a crack so that water under pressure is escaping through it . . do you have any info on this flange ? This is the female unit that the threaded part in your vid screws into, i'm not having any joy finding this part or its number

mine no longer has black circle on side and a lot of water is coming out of that hole. The wheels are barely spinning. Is this because this piece needs to be replaced?

Howdy, yep thats a problem! You can either order the whole assembly or just the pressure relief piece that screws into the body. www.poolzoom.com/polaris-cleaner-uwf-connector-assembly-9-100-9001.html www.poolzoom.com/polaris-180-280-380-3900-pressure-relief-valve-9-100-9002.html

mine keeps popping out of the wall originally it had part of the gasket coming out then it was out so I screwed it back into the wall connector which is still in wall but after few minutes pops out how can I tell which piece I need. I have to lay on my stomach it's near deep end breach down into water to do it so unless drain pool it's little difficult to tell. thought maybe simple way to tell looking at the filter part

Hello, you are going to want to get the the housing that has the male part with groves and the collar that has the two nub. Those two pieces do a bayonet style twist lock and one side or both is worn out on yours and allowing it to pop off. This Polaris part 9-100-9001 has both pieces, its basically a kit so it will give you the parts you need. Now, for getting the collar out of the wall you can try the 10-102-00 Polaris wall collar removal tool. It connects to the nubs on the collar and allows you to unscrew it. That is if there is enough nub on the nubs. Plan B would be to try and remove the collar with adjustable pliers, grabbing on to the outside ring and unscrewing. The worst case is that you would have to use a hacksaw blade and carefully cut it on the inside in 4 or 5 places then crush the collar into pieces into itself. Here are the links to the wall fitting kit and the removal tool: www.poolzoom.com/wall-fitting-connector-assembly-380-280-180-3900.html www.poolzoom.com/uwf-removal-tool-plastic.html

How do I know if the pressure valve needs to be replaced?

Is the filter screen necessary?
@PoolZoom3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Debris will bypass your main filter and clog inside the cleaner, keep the filter screen in to save yourself trouble!

UGH - useless - so what are the blue and red pieces for.

They are used to restrict water flow to the polaris pool cleaner. Each one allows a different amount of water to the unit. You can also reduce pressure to polaris unit by adjusting the relief valve in the middle of the device.
