Yeah they need to improve the film chemistry and make a glass-lens premium or casual camera and that’s it for me. I would pay $300-400 for non-plastic body camera

The yellow filter should work well with black& white film for outdoor shots as it will probably stop any tendency to over expose and enhance the sky making the clouds stand out more. The orange filter would make it even more dramatic but you'd have to increase the exposure some what even on very bright sunny day if you used the orange filter. This is using black&wite film don't know what the affects would be using colour film. The other filters i assume are just for some type of artistic or special affect.

I love mine too - just ordered the lomo instant square to complement it. The single issue i have with the lomo automat magellan is the bad quality of the leatherette. After two years of very careful handling it isn’t just peeling, it is practically disintegrating all over. I wish it could just completely come off, but no, the top layer falls off in spots, leaving a yucky leprous like spotty grey middle layer visible.

I’ve only had my automat glass for a few months. No issues yet with the finish. Hope mine doesn’t have the same issues

Did you try that: With your camera turned on, press and hold the flash button for a few seconds. You will see a horizontal line appear indicating where the exposure value is set by default, which is the middle, neutral position. Press the flash button once to move the exposure value to the upper brighten position. Press the flash button again to move the exposure value to the lower darken position.

Yeah I know the exposure controls. It’s just the native exposure is always off. Even the manual +1 or -1 is never exactly what you’d expect

Polaroid could have made the shutter button in the color of the stripe under the lens. Think it would have matched better. They also could have made the viewfinder reflective like on the Polaroid Go for taking selfies.

@@CREATIVEreviews That is really disappointing. I bought the Now+ because I do low light neon photography, but found myself using my regular Now for regular day time photography simply because the over exposure issues. I don’t see how Polaroid justifies the new Gen 2 if it doesn’t even fix that.

Do you know if I were to change the exposure through the app, then turn everything off, then come back the next day, if the exposure will stay that way without me re opening the app? You can definitely rest any filter on the lens. Just make sure do don’t cover the exposure sensor with your hand. I already feel like Polaroid photos are imperfect as is. I don’t know if I would try and cinebloom filter to it. Maybe it would make it more dreamy

I don’t see any need to because I always shoot on auto mode regardless. The only thing that could be different is the + has a tripod mount and the regular doesn’t.

Any time you put a filter in front of it, you should over expose it by one. I have a Polaroid Now and I under expose everything by one and I get good results.

And it's a little more ergonomic for me and I have more control over the shot rather than all the controls being for the camera to figure out and maybe miss shots.
