The moon was the symbol of love a long time ago. You could see how important it was if you read old Japanese literature. It tells us a man and woman who love each other but live far away look up the moon to fill their loneliness in a quiet night because the moon is the only thing two more persons can see at the same time, then thinking like "I wonder he would see that same moon now". This habit might be faded away but still some people may feel that way. I think Miyamotosan made this song when he recalled his exgirlfriend in a moon night.

Elephant Kashimashi became famous for this song. I'm a fan of this song, too. It's a great song with which you can feel the atmosphere of a man walking in the hills and fields with one guitars and traveling to win his success. I want to be strong as I travel.

When I listen to this song, I think that even though the engineer is editing and compressing it, Mr. Miyamoto's voice jumps out of that state and shakes our hearts. The message you spoke at the beginning of this video is the same!

I highly recommend Elephant Kashimashi songs named "Oretachi no Ashita", that's one of my favorite song.
Hi Patrick ! Thanks for another Elephant Kashimashi song. "今宵の月のように" is one of the best songs from the band's early days. Next time, listen to one of their later songs, "俺たちの明日". It's a very positive song that conveys a sense of gratitude and beauty in life ♥

When you move to Japan, don't fotget to visit Akabane, Tokyo. You'll hear this song when trains depart from Akabane station (Some of the band members are from Akabane. That's why).

Have you listened to THE YELLOW MONKEY yet? A band that was active from 1992 to 2004, reunited in 2016 and is still active! JAM, rosy days(バラ色の日々), sand towers(砂の塔), etc... are recommended! Personally, I like the vocal solo song ”call me” - YOSHII LOVINSON, so if you like THE YELLOW MONKEY, please listen to it♪ ↑translation🙇♀️

It's my first time to comment, but I'm very supportive of you. This song is recommended so please listen to it.「明日以外すべて燃やせ」

The location of this MV is Akabane, Tokyo. This is the town where Miyamoto san was born and raised. About 30 minutes by train from Tokyo Station. このMVのロケーションは、東京の赤羽です。宮本さんが生まれ育った町です。東京駅から電車で30分程度。
Hello! I always enjoy watching your videos! I'd like to make a request, is this the right place? The video is "Winter Flowers"「冬の花」 by Koji Miyamoto. I'm sure you'll like it. I'm sorry for my bad English!
🌔🌓🌒🌑🌙🌒🌓🌔🌕 2021/11/19 Like the Japanese moon. (Lunar eclipse) 🎑🌃🌕🐇🍡 Mr. Patrick, did you know that the Japanese moon was a lunar eclipse the day you placed this reaction? The lunar eclipse progressed over time when you delivered the video, and it was exactly the time when the lunar eclipse returned to the full moon. I think people all over the world have a love for the moon. The old Japanese calendar was the lunar calendar, and the days were counted by the phases of the moon. And we give names to many moons according to the degree of phases of the moon. There are also "seasonal names" and monthly names related to "annual events / festivals". There are so many moon names that even I, a Japanese, can't remember. There are many legends, stories, and novels about the moon, and Japanese people have a deep feeling for the moon. I think the same can be said for songs. The reason why many of Mr. Miyamoto's songs are related to the moon, wind, and nature may be because they have strong Japanese customs and sensibilities. I think that the song you chose, "Like the Moon tonight," was a very suitable song selection for Japanese viewers on the night of a special event called a lunar eclipse. For an artist who has been active in music for a long time, I tend to like the artist's performance when he was young. I can feel the artist's origin, passion, and candid personality, so it feels very comfortable to listen to. There are many wonderful songs that express the intense emotions of experienced artists, and some of them are my favorite songs. On the other hand, even if the artist is young, I think there are songs that can be expressed more strongly even though they are hot and have deep emotions. One of them is this "今宵の月のように / Like the moon tonight". Thank you for your reaction. 💕
