That looks like a fun way to fish. In the States we primarily take pole-style fishing seriously in the Southwest for crappie. Fly rods are the primary favorites for vertical presentation around timber-crazy as that sounds.

As long as you take it easy its ok, love the silver fishing here just a bit disappointed that I didn't pick up a perch but didn't chop the worms up which probably would have helped.

Used to be some monster perch in there mate.Went there once years back and Des Taylor had half the lake cordoned off trying to catch them.Not sure if he did catch any think he was doing a piece for the Angling times.
