This is one of the best law enforcement episodes. That warehouse interior is a good one! Would love to see Polecat & Buggs take advantage of that in the future. Would be a good HQ for their stolen car episodes. I think there are one or two other warehouse interiors that can be used as well.

In CA, a landlord must first give a written 3-day notice of rent due. Then the landlord can only proceed through lawsuit. They must wait 30 days beyond the 3-day notice before doing so. Then documents must be filed with the court and served on the tenant. The tenant has 5 days to respond. If no response, or a judge sides with the landlord, the landlord MUST file the necessary documents with the Sheriff Dept before the tenant can be legally removed from the property. And not having water makes the place "uninhabitable", for which the tenant can legally withhold rent.

Just a tip, when entering a room in a stack, never call out what side you plan on going to, the lead man needs to be free to go where the threat is and everyone else goes off him. Good video though, I really enjoy them. 👍🏼

Lol, Polecat had it way wrong in this one. If an landlord doesn’t supply the required services, they broke contract and you do not have to pay. Failure to supply water, a required to live service, then you do not have to pay and you can sue them stupid. In souther states, you can get rich off of a landlord failing to fix the a/c in a timely manner.

Hey polecat just thought of a new idea for law enforcement. So you go to a call for a possible hostage situation. As police arrive they breech and the suspect invites them in. When they come in there is already planted c4 on the walls of the room and the suspect is holding the trigger. This could work for both criminal or law enforcement episodes but I want you to finish the story with the polecat twist. Another great episode bud and love every doj video u put out. Take care bud

Polecat, you're an amazing cop. However, I happen to know for a fact that if a landlord refuses to fix anything, then the tenant can legally WITHHOLD rent, not never pay. Once the repairs are made, then the tenant owes the landlord the withheld rent. BTW, love the long law enforcement vids :) I like an equal balance of law enforcement and criminal, and you're very good with that balance :)

Polecat Yes old video, but little info for evicted someone for the future,, the tenant has the right to stop paying rent if his or her house is not live able or if he asked for something to be fixed and hasn't been fixed, they would have to go to housing court but he can't be forced out of his apartment for that reason, so the tenant was in the right there
