17:23 A wing and/or spoiler in real life actually can lower the top speed of a vehicle and cause it to have a slower acceleration. This is partially due to the weight increase but mainly because the car now has more drag. Wings and spoilers are designed to give the vehicle more down force resulting in better traction and control.

True that. I had a similar thought process at 3:25, after he said he thought it was the tires primarily causing the car to spin out. I sat there thinking: it's more likely because of it's short wheelbase, combined with the cars quick acceleration.

@@Cody.Wright I don't think he was talking about the actual weight of the wing. I think he was talking about the wind weighing down the car because of down force. Depending on the design of the wing, at certain speeds, it can add several hundred pounds of down force to over 1,000 lbs of down force. That is significant when it comes to top speed of cars.
