Poleka Kasue - Mt Santa Isabel 4980m

A group of 14 people left Medellin for Manizales to get to know Los Nevados National Natural Park, for most of them their first contact with snow and height.
It is said that a large percentage of the summit is done from the preparation before leaving and in this video you are going to see a little of how we were preparing from the beginning.
Thanks to the fact that we use the facilities of the El Cisne refuge, in this expedition we did not need equipment to spend the night or large meals, only snacks or food on the go.
I share with you some of the equipment that we took with us:
- Tennis or boots for trekking day 1
-Boots for day 2
-Trekking pants
- long-sleeve shirt for trekking
-Lycras top and bottom 1st layer
-Polar jumper (2nd layer)
-Jacket, protects from the wind (3rd layer)
-Rain cover
-Hiking Staffs x2
-Stockings (warm material)
-Windproof gloves or waterproof protective glove
-Balaclava or hat
- Caps
-Buff
-Sunglasses level 3 protection
- Small bag minimum of 25 liters
-Headlamp + spare batteries
-Thermos for hot drink
-Thermo for 2 liters of water
-Personal first aid kit + personal medicines
-2 whey ballots per person
-Toilet paper
-Bag for personal waste
-Lip and sunscreen
-Thermal blanket
-Gaiters: optional
-Crampons
-Iolet or pickaxe
-Helmet
-Harness
