I'm so pleased to see people accepting this as a sport and like dance or gymnastics. It has its various sides to it. it's all in perception of the viewing audience, and how the performance is done. This was done with such passion, grace, beauty, and soul... it can only be seen like gymnastics and ballet in my honest opinion.
@bottomofastairwell6 жыл бұрын
i mean, anything can be sexy if that's what the person is trying to do. people who think that pole dancing is only for strippers are ridiculous. That's like saying yoga is only for whores, cuz someone somewhere let creeps pay her to watch her do naked yoga. Just cuz something CAN be sexy doesn't always mean it has to be, and that definitely doesn't mean that "sexy" is the only thing to it. pole dancing takes strength and athletic ability more than anything. that shit's a sport
@xera90715 жыл бұрын
bottomofastairwell Being a stripper isn’t an insult and they practically invented/popularized the sport so have some respect
@lblincoe20944 жыл бұрын
All she said is that pole dancing in itself is utilized for more than just stripping. Which it is. This was like watching a beautifully choreographed ballet or a cirque du soleil show. I would proudly take my (12 year old) daughter to watch this with me, it's an amazing art form. I would not, however, take a 12 year old to watch strippers pole dancing. I'm personally just as awestruck by what they can do, but it's entirely different and entirely inappropriate for a vast demographic. Nothing wrong with either, but there's a clear distinction between the two. I agree that it's a shame said demographic won't see this mastery because most people assume it's the latter, but that's not in judgement of what they do.

Red Fullpack Human The "bikini sleazy" folks from working class families who have to work their butts off stripping and often get paid little are the ones who created this art..So all the upper middle class folks like you who can afford fancy pole dancing lessons could claim you created the sport...Pole dancing was born through exotic dancers.

When someone hears "pole dancer" most people often think of slutty blondes in leather high heels with thin undies and a push up bra. Most people don't understand this true work of art and how hard it is to accomplish this beauty. It requires so much strength, elegance, and flexibility that not many people can do. It's so sad that this isn't want people first think of when they hear "pole dancing" and don't even know this type of art is existing. This is true art. :)

@Anarchist_Angel7 жыл бұрын
The answer is quite simple. Skin provides just enough grip to do these moves. You could wear a specifically designed one piece to try and emulate the touch of skin.... OR you just use your skin. Needless to say, female bodies are perceived as aesthetics which cleary plays into role here, but that's absolutely not necessarily sexual. Its just some very primitve men that immediately conclude sexual behaviour or thoughts, like yourself. If you don't believe me, get a pole, learn it and then try it with a speedo... you'll see what I mean.
@grossleg1237 жыл бұрын
Thiefnuker don't kid yourself, the organisers know it will be more popular as do the women by wearing skimpy costumes ,by the way you are wrong all proper men are as you put it " primitive" if not they are Bum Bandits , that's the way of the world , wake up and smell the coffee
@Anarchist_Angel7 жыл бұрын
I cant believe you publicly voice such bullcrap. "proper men" and "bum bandits" lol. How old are you, 12? Surely sex(y) sells, and there's lots of primitive ape minded men on this world. Im pretty sure the organizers play on that, successfully. Yet there's no sexual display here, its merely your personal interpretation of it. I see sports, if you saw a male pole dancing, would that make you a "bum bandit" (What a stupid expression)?

@jasminevaliente966 жыл бұрын
MsAmandaHunter no they arent lol I'm not sure what high class expensive behind strip clubs you're going to but this is not what's being done at a strip club....most strippers rarely do pole tricks honestly they entertain in other ways and are stripped, more so moving their behinds and having money thrown on them....now some exotic dancers at more high end gentlemen clubs do pole tricks ....but pole dancers are usually gymnast level as this woman in the video is. Pole dancing and stripping arent the same even if some strippers can pole dance majority dont

Absolutely beautiful. I just recently became ok with the idea of pole dancing. I used to be one of those who thought it's only sexual dancing but thanks to people like you, that stereotype is broken. Keep being awesome :)
@bottomofastairwell6 жыл бұрын
i wish people who only thought it was a sexual thing would TRY IT. then they might recognize how much athletic prowess, strength, body control, flexibility, endurance and grace it takes to do ANY of this stuff. If they knew how much effort it required, i think it might be easier for people to separate the ART of it from the sexual aspect. I mean, any dance or sport can be "sexy" if people take off their clothes while doing it. Almost anything can be made sexy, but it doesn't HAVE to be. I like to show people videos like this though, to help them see that it can also be artistic, and requires a lot of work and strength and stuff. Anyone can take their clothes off and twirl around, but not a lot of people can do what this girl can do, and that's the difference. I"m glad that you have learned to separate the sexual aspect out from the art/sport of pole dancing though so that you can experience how beautiful it is. Hopefully you can help others do the same adn help us rid the world of the stigma. I wish more people would be exposed to pole, because as a way to stay fit (i've taken some pole classes), it's incredible exercise, and is also way more fun that going to a regular gym. And DAMN do you build up the most killer abs ever
@jasminevaliente966 жыл бұрын
I mean even if it was only sexual which in itself sounds ridiculous because theres no way such a general object can only be used for one purpose but whatever....back to my point even if it was just for a sexual purpose why would it not be ok?
