FORESTELLA are considered the kings of harmonies and simply master every genre and style. Technically highly qualified, they are known for unexpected reinterpretations of legendary songs. They give the whole thing a twist and their own flavor (always respecting the original), resulting in a renewed "WOW" effect. They are very versatile, like to experiment and are amazingly creative. This song is the original song that Forestella requested for a song from Valensic Clarkson, a Dutch composer living in Valencia, Spain. Valensia is a musician heavily influenced by Queen. This song contains a philosophical message that although it is a utopia for humans who have overcome civilization, it can be a dystopia for nature, and that humans and nature must be considerate and cooperate in order to coexist. This song took about 8 months to produce. We made and completed 400 tracks through 17,000 recordings over two and a half months. They are absolute perfectionists. They're a very interesting group. He uses a variety of singing techniques and sings a variety of genres. Their music has no limits and has its own originality that cannot be heard anywhere else. Explore more of their music. BUT on a completely different LEVEL are the acoustic and visual masterpieces of their OWN ORIGINAL M/V, showing what this unique group is really capable of. The beginning is a bit like Sparks "This town ain't big enough for the both of us", then it takes off. Near the end, a bit like E.L.O. A nod towards some groups from 1970s and 1980s...absolutely a wonderful thing. It also has a feel of BTS "Blood, Sweat and Tears". Forestella just never let you down.

They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us in King of Kings and Unwritten Legend too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. Forestella is a Korean classical crossover group composed of a basso profundo, a rocker/countertenor, musical actor/baritenor, and classically trained lyrical tenor. They've performed covers of classics including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Je Suis Malade" (Lara Fabian), and "Hijo de la Luna" (Sarah Brightman) and pop songs including "Bad Romance" and "Shape of You." Of these, I think their breathtaking performance of "Je Suis Malade" would be great for analysis next, as it really highlights their voices individually. Hope you check it out!

Especially Kang Hyung Ho's thoughtful rearranging their 4 different harmonies is one of the key of their success. Hyung Ho grew in the team because his charismatic attitude and brilliant ideas so he even was part of directing this MV Utopia(I just learned about it). He grew as a producer and directing song production in the team because his rock band experience called PITTA band that he still continues to work on to achieve his rocker soul to be fulfilled with rocker want to be dream. So glad you appreciate such skilled crossover singers.. their vocal delivery is superb no matter language they sing in or what music genre they explore. Would dearly love them to venture south to Australia or New Zealand. I agree with many of the comments below from equally enthralled followers. Love them especially Kang Hyung ho's 4 octaves roller coaster singing ability even though that he was not a professional singer until he was 30 yrs old. He used to be Chemical engineer in Petro oil corporate lab. And Jo Min Gyu's capacity of energy output is great support for team because he is bright, full of energy, and witty in the team, which makes it fun for the team. Bae Du hoon's previous career as a musical actor, he knows how to bring such high emotional tension so it brings the tears from people's heart so easily. Ko Woo rim's base deep tone of voices always back up whole group's harmony. I appreciate all of them so much because it brings my boring working hard day with more joy by listening to their songs! He serves as the team's producer and vocal director. The composition of chords is done together by the composer and arranger.

Minkyu Cho is the leader, but all the members of Forestella make music together. The role of the leader is not defined and does not mean much. Everyone thinks fiercely, discusses, and comes up with ideas. However, Kang Hyung ho is a musician who can write lyrics, compose, and arrange music, so he helps a lot in terms of music. Kang Hyung ho himself revealed that he was the team's producer, and he heard through members interviews that he had been directing vocals. Kang Hyeong-ho's name is listed as the vocal directing for this album. It is listed in the M/V credits.😊

Here are a couple of details about the World Tree series (save our lives, and Utopia). The four members are meant to represent the 4 elemental deities. Kang Hyung Ho (countertenor) is fire, Bae Doo Hoon (tenor) is water, Cho Min kyu (tenor) is air and Ko Woorim (bass) is earth. These details actually show through the videos with clips of the sea, the clouds, the earth and fires being shown through both music videos. It is also so detailed as their dystopia costumes (the black ones) have gems on them in red, blue, green and white which represent the elements they are. It also shows in the lyrics in some bits, with Hyung Ho who is fire talking about how he is the fire and sulfur that kills the sins on sons. And Doo Hoon saying ‘out of the clouds a heavens warning’ which is rain. There are small details like that which show how talented they are. Utopia is a the next part of the story after save our lives. Save out lives being acts 1-3 and Utopia being 4-6. Utopia is about how the earth was a utopia, and the deities enjoying the development of men thus the lines about ‘magnificent cities’ and ‘arts and science’ ‘breathing splendour’ in them. But humans soon turn natures and the deities utopia into a dystopia. The operatic section near the end is the deities being angry at what has happened and warning being sent which can in theory link to biblical events such as Noahs arc being ‘heavens warning’. They also speak about how people pray to god and deities to help them and unify people but all they can see is division within the human race. They are crying for their Utopia as they said in the second to last chorus as it has been destroyed. There are loads of details that are in the lyrics, videos, line distribution, outfits, props and after credits that you can pick apart to find the story. It is really interesting really.

And the name of Forestella's fan is... It's SOOP BYEOL. If you write Forest of 숲 in Korean. If you pronounce 숲 like it is, SOOP. Stella is a star in Korean. If you write star of 별 in Korean. I expected lots of pauses. I don't know if this is how your reactions are usually. I won't be surprised if you found this particularly spellbinding cuz this MV can stop people in their tracks.
