I could give a damn if there are two drummers, if it's an "indie band" (what the hell does that mean anymore?) or if the singer does instrumentals... yeah everyone uses it but her vocals would be 1000% better without that warbly effect all over it. It's one thing to save a great performance from a minor slip and another to wreck what would seem to be a great performance with out.

her voice is actually quite good :) ..I agree it's hard to tell what she's saying with the auto-tune though. She's using it as a vocal effect more so than a crutch I'd say. If you listen closely you can tell she's actually a good singer but I understand that what she does and how she does it isn't for everybody.

@Sebastian3791 There is most definitely "auto-tune" on the vocals. It's just not used for pitch correction but for a vocal effect. It's probably not auto-tune but a vocoder, similar to the one that Bon Iver has used on tracks like "Woods" or "Beth/Rest".

I don't think it's a better mix than the record. It's definitely cleaner sounding, but I love how in the album the vocals swim around the stereo field. I love a mix that's so thick and smeary you could chew it.
