The cops were literally dragging down innocent people walking away and brutally beating them. A cop shoved one lady so hard she almost landed on her back and could have died of a concussion, but people caught her as she was reeling backwards. One man in cuffs had blood streaming down his face and a tooth missing. A lot of these people such as that man weren't Arabs from the neighborhood. They were like the students and just regular Americans who show up at these demonstrations. Bay Ridge is very wealthy, has a lot of mobsters, and is kind of insular with the Arab communities. This crowd might of some of them in it, but it looked like the standard marches that have been taking place on college campuses.

The State of New York is BORING without Manhattan. They have a beautiful river that is woefully underutilized. Dead Zones all over New York, former industrial cities are dead cities. A rail system that serves commerce not people. Rents are high. Taxes are high. Prices are high. Like everywhere else the people are nice and their legislators are cruel people. Pennsylvania outlawed slavery in 1780 and New York in 1817 to give you the degree of progressive thought not in NY. Legislature in Albany is a retarded (slow) institution where things get done only by death or money influence. Mississippi is the worst state in the nation. Life mortality there is low; people die young and it’s legislature was the last state to ratify the 13th and still to this day has not submitted the documentation to ratify the 13th amendment, 159 years later. Amazing, huh. So technically, slavery still exists on paper in Mississippi.
