I doubt he planned a whole route to evade a police chase. It more likely he is very familiar with the area and has probably walked his way around those place, which allowed him to have the knowledge on back areas where a car can fit that normal people don't know about.

The 3.2L V6 quattro is underrated. This naturally aspirated engine is very powerful. I have one in my A6, I can relate.

I use to Live Exactly Where the Chase started in Gorton, And I also Use to Live exactly Right where the Police Chase ended as well a few months prior, He most probably Ran to the Park To the Right then left of where the Car was abandoned. Also Gorton Has loads of crime in it, Drugs, Stolen Cars, Theres another video where some Lady gets robbed at knifepoint there as well, Always something crazy Going on in Gorton Manchester.

In the UK the police cut backs mean they no longer have in house maintenance, however the cars seem to be modded at factory for police purposes but the info is sketchy at best. I've personally noted that traffic BMWs, Volvo's etc here in the UK have very low rear suspension for example. It makes no sense that this is all due to the sheer weight of traffic cones and breathalyser's On the other hand panda cars (local road use) look more standard

It's not a true AWD, audi named QUATTRO because of the S2, but they use Haldex systems, which only powers rear wheels when front ones are spinning it's like assisted FWD
