If a cop is fired it should be with prejudice. They should NEVER be able to work law enforcement again ANYWHERE in this country. Not even mall security, no matter what reason they were fired. No convicted criminal should be able to be a cop.

Police departments do not struggle with corruption, they embrace it wholeheartedly. It is SOP in most departments .

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Old sayings aren't old sayings for nothing. The problem is that those in charge turn a blind eye to the problem and the police unions have too much power also. Townspeople should fix THAT and things will be more normal.
