Amazing what happens in colleges when some students are facing the finals! Think about it, they spent a third of the semester in a course, took an hourly exam that was worth 20% of their grade. After another third, they got another hourly worth 20%. Now, they are facing that final exam worth 60% of their grade, knowing they don't know shit and will totally flunk it. For people like that, which are a percentage of every class, protests are better than the alternative. Back in the Vietnam era days, it was, oh, gee, I have to go outside and freeze my ass off, because somebody doesn't want to take an exam and used another bomb threat for that purpose.

The University operations, services, classes provided supersede the imaginary entitlement to occupy without a permit. Students should not be afforded special on-campus protection. If they want to participate in adult political activities, they can do so at their own risk off campus, on their own time.
