@@seamusbrowne4909I was wondering about open tuning.
@chinto509 ай бұрын
totally agree, the actual right hand action takes a lot of practice. and then to throw the open tuning on top of that.. hey im 72 and still consider myself "average" in this style of pickin. I just think its great that someone so young reverts back to the beginning of todays music. It really is something that many pickers will gravitate back to the "beginnings" of some of the best music on the planet. I evolved from rock, to blues, to old country blues and discovered the beauty of this music . Then I discovered how this music influenced blue grass and how much blues is actually in blue grass.. we all have a journey.. I would like to see her in 10 years.. see what path she finds for herself.. wonderful video.. just wonderful.
@sebastianmelmoth91009 ай бұрын
The fact that this is wonderful young artist has embraced these beautiful and moving songs from 90-100 years ago, written and performed by the originators of the blues, and the fact that she knows who Blind Blake was, and I imagine Lemon Jefferson and Gary Davis and Memphis Minnie and Big Joe Williams, fills my heart. Bravo.

Impressive picking, I'm 72 and listened to blues all my life and your guitar playing is as good as it gets. Your voice is young, light and female not your average blues sound but it works and is quite refreshing. The way you roll and dance through these blues standards is a joy to listen to. Keep it up. I play my copy all the time and since Neph is a guitar player I figure he needs to hear Ms. Bradley. I'll probably wind up buying more of her albums to give to all my old blues hound friends. Well, the ones that are still alive. Search Tompkins Square records and they will set you up. Wait until you hear her rendition of Shake Sugaree. And Stagolee. And Richland Woman Blues. And Candyman. Hell, the whole album is dynamite. I got it in CD but it is also available in vinyl and, are you ready? Cassette. Think I'll put that CD on now.
