That's part of the problem. They created laws that help create homelessness not to mention all the stupid things the liberals politicians do. For example your house is not your house no matter how much you think its paid off in full. You are just renting it from the government. See what happens if you get sick and can't pay your property taxes on it for a few years. Your house is gone. Another the for profit policing system we have now. Most tickets people get are for people not doing anything really dangerous and aren't in imenent danger of harming anyone yet they are getting punished. Its basically preventing future crime that never might never happen. A stupid frivolous traffic citation can put someone in the position to lose their job and their liscence especially someone that's living on 10dollars an hour because that's all the jobs that you're state has to offer. Insurance is just a money racket to make insurance companies rich. The country is beyond effed up. This has been building to this for a long time. Republicans and democrats of the past lead us to where we are today. If you want a strong healthy society you'll deregulate the country and let the free market solve the nation's problems. It applies to any situation that needs to be resolved and how the politicians fund it and the quid pro quo that goes on behind the scenes. Taxpayer money goes to wealthy folks with political connections and the money flows downhill to the politicians and their relatives and friends through indirect methods. Think the high speed rail project. How much was spent on the rail line, or overspent due to overcharging, and how much was spent on environmental studies and other such things from politically connected corporations? Much more on studies than actual building and much more on the building than the actual cost. I hope that begins to explain the situation. In some cases companies get the no bid contracts from the government for whatever the project or issue is so what company gets it when there are several who want to bid on it and will do it better and higher quality? who gets the no bid contract? You guessed it, the one owned by folks who use the above mentioned tactics to grease the political wheel. Politics is all about $$$$$$$$

So when it affects people in a neighborhood and they’re being violent so that’s the issue. Venice beach use to be a nice spot to go the weekends and now it’s like skid row with a ocean view.
