I believe I have the right to say what I want and if it means doing time, so be it. I'm 68 and sick of governments and political parties trying to convince people that we are here for their benefit. Don't trust any of the bastards.

totally agree, its more like , we work hard to serve the government and their spending. to many rules, to left wing. reduce gov. and bring back old values.

Funny cause there never was a democracy the whole thing has always been a lie total and utter bullshit our vote and government is. Although it feels good voting and we are all told it makes a difference. A good analogy is like our recycling bins in nsw here with the nice happy yellow lids and the recycling goes straight to landfill.

How right you are. Do not allow the Internet to be censored. Get rid of ALP governments. But don't vote for the other mob either. Vote independent!

Realistically this channels whole case will serve to protect us from a lot of these bad laws. If public service employees and politicians are personally liable they’ll be a lot less likely to tread on our rights. They’ll begin serving us.

Embarrassing them is the only way! that's why they try to stop free speech. If they are embarrassed individual police and government workers will quit, leading to them changing laws.

And they will rush through all legislation needed during the footy finals because we are easily distracted

It appears the 2 major parties want to keep sharing power.

Fortunately I have the ability to speak freely in my daily job and yes I deal with the public, so far so good.

We don't actually have a right to free speech. The Americans do but we don't. What we have is an 'implied right' to free speech. Which is kind of like a privilege to free speech which means it's not really free, it just seems that way. As for the people who want censorship? There are some really dumb people out there who actually trust politicians.
@Peak_Aussieman6 күн бұрын
Not even that. It's an implied right to political communication. If you really want to get into the legal weeds. Sounds similar but it's actually not the same thing.

@@johnkauppi7078 Agreed, we shouldn't have used the term "right" to free speech. In the absence of censorship we able to speak freely, which is an implied freedom, the introduction of censorship takes that freedom away 👍👍👍

actually, karmila in usa, is stating " free speech ,is a privilege." but shes just a clown puppet.

The abolition of fireworks was in my opinion an attack and reduction of one of our traditional freedoms we had in this country.
