Louis, there's a window of about 10-12 hours to stitch up lacerations. After that time frame, there is an increased risk of infection if you put sutures in. Fortunately, most cuts on the face and scalp heal very quickly if the edges are pulled together well. Good thing you had steri-strips available.

No idea where you get your energy from at all. I don't anymore but I used to go to Turkey a couple of times a year from the UK, just for a break/holiday and when I got back from there...four hour flight, I would be exhausted. You stay awake all night, then go on long flights, then on cross country drives... You just did a three week tour of India (I know this was a few years ago), effectively across the country and then got home, had a brew and drove to Romania. I would be literally falling asleep stood up at that point. Don't know how you do it but hats off to you lol

I had a similar hospital experience in Germany. A friend of mine cut his chin quite badly and we called and asked for directions to the hospital but they sent an ambulance, took him away, stitched him up and sent us on our way. Very efficient.

that must be a great hospital my brother had to go to the emergency hospital because he got a fish hook stuck in his finger and he waited 3 hours to get help (he had the fishing hook in his finger for the hole 3 hours as well. also he broke his foot and sprained his ancle 3 days ago and waited 4 hours to see a doctor and all they did was give his cruches and a tencer bandaid. you would think canada would have a better system.
